They last a decent length of time, four months for us, so not that bad a value considering the cost of the machine it protects and the length of service the filter provides. Well worth not risking using a none genuine alternative.

If you've invested in a high-end Sage Espresso Machine, you clearly care about the quality of your coffee. This ClaroSwiss Water Filter is, in my opinion, a non-negotiable part of that equation. I live in a hard water area, and the difference in the taste of my espresso when using this filter is undeniable. It's smoother, cleaner, and allows the true flavour of the beans to shine through. Beyond the taste, it significantly reduces limescale build-up, meaning I have to run the full descaling cycle far less often, which is better for the machine in the long run. Yes, they are a recurring cost, but so are good quality coffee beans. I view this filter as another key ingredient. Using the official, perfectly compatible filter provides peace of mind that I am both protecting my machine and getting the best possible performance out of it.

There's alternatives out there where you can get 2 or 3 for the same price as 1 of these official Sage ones, but I have noticed some of the cheaper products sometimes have a different shape fitting on the bottom which may not fit everyone's model... The sage one filters well, easy to install, clear instructions and you know it fits. I have bought the cheaper ones in the past, but have gone back to using the official sage ones, the machines are too expensive to use a cheap alternative in my opinion. But they are probably a few quid more than what the could be!

I always buy this filter for my sage barista express because it's super easy to install and it fits unlike other filters. Just dip it in a glass of water for 5 minutes and you are all set. It's expensive 15 pounds just for one but it is the best filter to use for this coffee machine. Also in my opinion it lasts more than 3 months, maybe because I use only bottled water for my tank

An expensive option but looking at reviews of the alternatives, it's the easier option knowing it's right for the machine.
