Hi-Lift Jack Jack Protector JP-350

As others have pointed out it's a tad snug when zipping it up, but if it's positioned properly and you remove the Winch-Clamp Spreader Attachment and store it in the separate zippered pocket as mentioned on the packaging (Which I wish I'd read before working myself into a lather because I couldn't zip the case w/ it on!), it comes together nicely. And I agree w/ those who've pointed out how well balanced the placement of the sturdy handles are. All-in-all it's a very well designed and constructed cover.

The cover is an extremely tight fit, however the zippers do zip completely closed. This cover is not waterproof, however it is water resistant. The main reason to buy this cover is to keep dust, dirt, and mud off the jack when not is use. I have an exact cover on another vehicle and found that it fades from the sun after about a year.

Very pleased. Tractor jacks aren’t cheap and this protects my investment.

I got the Hi-Lift Jack JP-350 Jack Protector to hold a 48" Hi-Lift while carrying it inside my Jeep to keep the oil on the jack from spreading. Here are my thoughts: -- CONTAINS THE JACK OIL: The first thing the Hi-lift says is that it should be oiled with light oil. It's a bit of a mess, and I got the Hi-Lift Jack Protector or bag to contain the oil as I carry the jack in the back of my Jeep. See picture -- TOUGH CANVASS: The canvass is tough, and I thought it should hold up well enough for my application, being stowed and relocated often in the back of the Jeep to the garage. -- STRONG HANDLES: I lifted the 48" jack while in the bag, and the bag handles felt strong and were placed about right for a good center of gravity for the awkward shape of the jack. In other words, the weight was nearly equal on both sides of the handles. -- HARD TO ZIP UP: It's a little tough to get the bottom part of the bag zipped up around the square jack base, but nothing to be negative about. -- NO BAG PADDING: If there is a weak point on the bag, it is likely to be around the base, where it is tightly wrapped around the steel and will experience wear. There is no extra padding or protection here. -- NEED TO MOVE BRACKET: There is a bracket at the top of the jack that I guess is for external mounting. As the jack was delivered, with the bracket extending past the top of the jack, it would not fit in the bag. I had to loosen the bolt (3/4" wrench), hold the bracket, and relocate it lower to fit the jack in the bag. -- BIGGEST ISSUE IS NOT ROOM FOR LIFT MATE: A major disappointment of the bag is that there is no room to include the LM100 Lift Mate either attached on the jacks beak or unattached in the zipper pocket provided. I ended up having to tie Lift Mate with bungee cords to the outside of the bag. Further, now that the Lift Mate has to be unattached as it won't fit in the bag, I have to be sure to carry 2ea 1/2" wrenches to reattach the Lift Mate. See pictures. CONCLUSION: It's a functional bag made of tough canvas but will not also hold a Lift Mate. For that faux pas, I hold back one star.

Unfortunately this cover DID NOT fit my hi-Lift 48” first responder unit. The pocket for the base was way too small. Seller should state “standard hi-lifts only Will not fit the First Responder Base” Nice quality!

This Jack Protector is very nice, made with good materials and practical to carry your Hi-Lift. But, X-Treme version has a x-treme Top Clamp that replace the top clamp-clevis of the standard version, this make the X-Treme version hard to be save in this jack protector.

Quality jack boot, fits snugly on my 42" Hi Lift (made for a 48"). I am able to use the HI Lift Handle-Keeper inside the boot as well. I like the 42" jack as it does not protrude above the cab on my 2014 Jeep JKU while utilizing the Rugged Ridge rear jack mount #11586. The boot is made of strong but pliable canvas and the seems and heavy nylon zipper are well placed and designed. Would definitely purchase again.

The cover for the jack is well made and should last quite a while depending on service. The fit was good and has a little extra for storage for a few small items. I am pleased with the cover and recommend it.

Bag ripped just pushing the jack inside in multiple spots. Probably OK to do once and hopefully never need it, you will destroy it completely if you actually need your jack alot.

Good cover for jack but opening needs a better closure method to keep dirt out !
