Thick
Very thick and pretty firm does not lay flat. Did not try with tanks.

Doesn't cover STA bolts!
I bought this to Cover the bolts on my STA so that they don't snag on my wetsuit. It only covers the bottom bolt unlike my Hollis backpad that covers the whole thing. Spend the extra money for a nice one!

Creates a nice pad for my back especially when walking my BC down the beach a good distance into the water. has a decent size pocket for a surface marker or small bag/item. Came with all neccesary hardware and installed quickly and easily. Lower priced than other brands and just as good !

Missing book screws
It looks alright, but it showed up missing the book screws, even though it said in the listing that it came with them.
