This shampoo isn’t going to lighten your hair; however, it deposits color pigment. You might see some lighter color highlights in the sun. Definitely worth a try. I’ve used both a red base and blonde base.

I do not believe this is a substitute for a temporary hair color. I am a naturally darkish grey, I have my hair bleached white. My hairdresser recommended this shampoo to keep my roots white when my hair grows out. My hair also tends to bring out yellow tones and this shampoo keeps my hair a very nice white. I think it is meant to bring out the highlights you already have

I thought this was perfect. Different that it’s a “shampoo.” Nice color pay off. I rinsed at about 8 minutes. Definitely toned down some crazy red highlights I was fussing with. I have super thick, coarse, naturally dry hair so I conditioned after w/my Color Wow Money Masque.
