Just didn't work, one of them broke as soon as I took it out of the box

Very touchy
It works up to about 100 yards with the infra red turned on and no other light source. You can see much farther with bright moonlight. Works about as expected for the money. It takes some getting used to because of the need to make two adjustments and these adjustments are easy to move accidentally.

It works, limited in application but worth the cost
The monocular needs a lot of refocusing for different distances much more than a normal glass scope, but compared to similar low budget items the light amplification is very good. If you carefully adjust the focus it works at distances further than advertised. The field of view is extremely narrow, if you want to scan a pitch dark field you need gen2 or better night vision, but if you want check the occasional shadow in an environment just bright enough you can still navigate without light this works pretty well.

Great unit. Takes some time to get use to dual focus...great images...time date takes some fiddling to get it to work. The USB port on bottom is hard to access depending on what kind of Mount or tripod you use. You may have to get new mount or extension tube to raise up the unit off the tripod mount a bit. Keep spare batteries on hand. It does go through them..you may test it by turning on but if battery is low...it won't go into record mode. The IP Emmitter is not invisible....it you are looking at someone they can see the dull red light but this can be turned off. It uses ambiance light very well...it almost has to much zoom to the unit...very happy

Great IR camera for hunting / field use
I'm not sure why the other reviewer says this doesnt work, did you try to contact 12 Survivors? It worked for me and worked very well, very easy to use, just take the cap off, turn on the IR illuminator, and adjust the front and back as instructed in the included manual, and have fun! My only complaint is the lack of the ability to zoom in or out, it's a fixed zoom at about 30 yards. Check out my full review here [...]
