Please read if you are in Security or law enforcement
first and foremost, I work security so that can be 8-12 hour shifts. I bought this body cam back in 2019 because I had a previous job that used Campro and I loved the quality of the camera video the audio on the video How true to the natural color the video captured How durable it is, it can fall 20 feet and still be fine and yea I tested it out with throwing it and IT STILL WORKS!! The reason I bought it for myself is I was doing armed patrol security in San Francisco 5 days a week 12 hour shifts so yes I was dealing with emergency dispatches of Domestic violence calls Medical calls Theft/robberies/burglary calls Trespassing calls Assault and battery calls We all know how long a DV call can take it can be up to 4 hours. So yes long story short I had to have it on standby throughout a 12 hour shift and holy crap it stayed alive for 16 hour shifts too with recording emergencies. I worked through the heat, the cold, the heavy rain, the fog and it has NO ISSUES! Let’s jump forward to 2025 ok. I still use the same body camera and yes it’s been 6 years and it still works! Durable as hell, color, audio, and quality never changed. It’s still amazing as when I bought it, BUT the battery does run out faster and now instead of leaving it on standby I have to turn it off and then record with emergencies. This body am for the price is a 9.5/10! So yeah I’m going to have to replace it like every other technology out there because over years it will get older like us. I got a new body camera to test out for the battery and got a boblov that says it’s good for 15 hour continuous recording and 4000mah and it’s crap I returned it as fast as I could. It wasn’t durable, the clip for my vest was short, the audio on all the videos were crap like robots were talking, the color was changed a lot so red would look brown, yellow would look white etc. Honestly my top two and only two choices for a body camera is axon and campro.

WAY AWESOME!
I LOVE this cam! For the price, it's GREAT! And even I could figure out how to use it! The video tutorial is pretty not fantastic, but the instructions are adequate. But, the important thing is what it does, and what it did! I was having an issue with a person in an authority position at work and she was trying to get me fired. She kept making things up, and she had a little buddy who was right in on it with her. It was 100% personal. There was never a witness around on my part and I was about to lose my job... My supervisor was very supportive of me, but I had no evidence to support my side of what was happening. UNTIL I got this cam! I started wearing it when I had to be on site with these people. Within a couple days they both put on one of their typical displays and showed how they tried to set me up and make up a big drama (which never happened). In fact, their performance was spectacular, and even when I warned them that they were being recorded, they were so caught up in their hatred for me that they literally said they didn't care and proceeded to cuss me out - on camera! I gave the recording to my supervisor and that was the end of that - for them! I LOVE THIS CAM! I now use it as a dash cam because of the LONG battery life and large capacity storage. But I (jokingly) use it to keep my coworkers in line...I tell them "don't make me get my camera!" ha!

Great camera
The video is excellent and the sound is clear. Easy to use although directions aren't real clear. I mainly use the one button video record option. I would turn the camera on at 11:30 PM. (Make sure to have the night vision lights off until you need them. Otherwise, the battery only lasts 3 hours.) I could never get the camera to start recording by pressing the button once like the instructions said. I finally figured out that if the viewing screen was not active you have to press the button TWICE quickly. Once to activate the camera and once to start the recording. Then starts recording immediately. I set mine to add the minute of video that was before I pressed the start button. That way if something happens and it takes you a few seconds to remember to start recording you still got the incident on camera. Great feature. To stop the recoding again press the button twice (if the screen is off.) Only semi-bad thing is the spring on the clip isn't very strong and several times I accidentally knocked the camera off my chest. I finally lost it because it came off without me knowing it and so I don't know where it was lost at. I've ordered another one.

Impressive!
Background: Let me start off by saying I use this body camera to record my site surveys. I am an engineer so I bought this body camera to clip onto my shirt or backpack shoulder strap as I am walking around a site to get an idea of the layout of existing equipment. Software: The software is not very intuitive for the average user. You have to be familiar with using a desktop computer to install the software and to use it. The software used to read the properties of the camera look like it was made by a college student in visual basic. It works but it's very rudimentary and the user interface is very basic. The built-in camera software is good. There are many options and it seems straight forward for the average or advanced user to configure. Quality: The quality is very good considering the price. Remember that this is a body camera and not a GoPro. I have a GoPro as well. This does not record in 4K probably because 4K takes up a lot of memory and drains the battery faster. Remember this is used just to document occurrences without great detail. This camera does that very well with a maximum resolution of 2304 x 1296 at 30 FPS. There are several other settings for lower resolutions to keep the memory empty per each recording. There is no image stabilization so you will see shaky video. If you hold still while filming then it will look very clear but when you are moving expect pixelation especially in "super fine" quality mode. The sound is very good. The microphone is clear and you can hear ambient noise as well as voices clearly. The color is vibrant. Not washed out or too saturated. There's a good balance. All-in-all the quality is very good considering the price. Features: The camera has an image mode, video mode with delayed recording and loop recording. There is also a GPS feature which displays your latitude and longitude coordinates on the video. The GPS can take a while to connect and doesn't show up most of the time. You also have a burst mode for photos and a self-timer for photos as well as continuous shooting. I didn't buy the camera for still pictures but it's nice to have those options. The Infrared is fantastic! There is an option to have auto infrared or manual, I keep it on auto so when I go to a low light area then the IR LEDs will click on and the filter will activate in the video. It takes excellent low light video. Especially in pitch black. There is also an option to have a regular LED white light to turn on while recording without IR. The white light LED is not that powerful in low light conditions. Mounting: They include a small but decently sturdy pocket clip to attached to a backpack, front shirt seam or the like. I suggest buying an aftermarket magnetic mount. You clip the camera to the outside portion of the magnetic mount and then attach it to your clothing with the "inside" portion via magnets so it stays in place. The clip has a nice spring action to it and contains teeth to grip onto anything. It also rotates on the base to align it properly. Miscellaneous: The dock that came with the camera is a little useless in my opinion. You can connect the camera directly to a computer or an outlet via the given power supply. It's nice to have the dock to just click it in at the end of the day but I don't really use it. The camera uses Mini USB Type B which is extremely bizarre. These days you'd expect USB-C or a micro USB connection. You may have to buy longer third party USB-A to Mini USB Type B cables if required. There is a connection to HDMI and AV out using a standard 3.5mm jack. The buttons are easy to press and seem very responsive. Conclusion: For the price it's a GREAT body camera. However I will only give it 4-stars because of the GPS connection being spotty, the pixelation when moving, the potentially difficult software and the Mini USB-B connection. Other than that it's a great camera for use of documenting certain interactions and areas minus the major details like small text. It does its job for my purposes very well. Attached you will see a sample video of my survey. It's just me walking around getting an idea of the layout of the existing space. Nothing too detailed.

Super easy to use, to download, fantastic picture and audio quality
This is not stealth or tiny - but it's a size you would expect of standard body cams in 2020. It's rugged, the buttons are easy to access. Easy to turn on and off as needed. Sound quality is perfect, color video is incredibly good. I'm a 5'3" woman and did need to keep in mind to stand back a bit when interviewing to make sure the subject's head was in the frame but the camera is pretty wide - not overly distorted - just something to keep in mind if you're not the same height as your subject. I swear a chest vest to have something to adhere the cam to since I am using it for non-police interviews. It's great to have good documentation to work from when interviewing any subjects where you are aiming for accuracy (aren't we all?) in important conversations. It's great to be able to wear this for along periods of time and not worry about battery life. The charging station - super simple. Download (Windows) easy-squeazy. Just can't believe the quality of this for the money. Solved a lot of problems for me not having to slow down interviews taking copious notes or use a voice recorder. Much easier to watch a video - with better information seeing gestures and body language. Highly recommend this. I don't know what else anyone could want.

NOT WATERPROOF OR EVEN WATER RESISTANT
2020 Review: (5-star) Exactly what I needed. Great quality. Only used it 1 time but worked perfectly. 2025 Review: (1-star) NOT WATERPROOF OR EVEN WATER RESISTANT!!! Had not been used since the original 1-time use in 2020. Camera was never dropped, hit or damaged in any way and it was stored in its original box and placed in a dresser drawer. Recharged the battery and the camera worked like new, that is until it rained. Wanted to film our family hike during a recent trip. Camera was clipped on the front of my belt. During the hike, a pop-up rainstorm hit. After about 15 minutes of hiking in the heavy rain, we decided to stop and wait out the rain. When the rain stopped and we were about to re-start our hike, I noticed that the power light had gone off and couldn't power it back on. I assumed that, even though it was on for less that 2 hours at that point, the battery had died. Got back home and noticed the viewing screen was fogged up and upon closer inspection discovered a pool of water inside the screen. All of this from just being worn during a brief rainstorm. If it dries out, I hope I can at least power it up and download the stored footage but am expecting the worst. I would not recommend this product for use outdoors.

Amazing product
I recently had the opportunity to use the CammPro I826 1296P HD Police Body Camera, and I must say, it has impressed me in several key areas. Here are my thoughts: Battery Life: One of the standout features of this body camera is its exceptional battery life. I can record for almost 11 hours on a single charge, which is fantastic for long shifts or extended use. Video Quality: The video quality is really good, providing clear and detailed footage. The 1296P HD resolution ensures that I capture important details, which is crucial for any law enforcement or security application. Durability: This camera is designed to be waterproof, making it suitable for various environments and weather conditions. I feel confident using it in different situations without worrying about damage. Storage Capacity: With 128GB of memory, I have ample space to store hours of footage without needing to frequently offload files. This is a significant advantage for anyone needing to document events over extended periods. Overall Impression: Overall, I am very satisfied with the CammPro I826. It combines great battery life, excellent video quality, and robust durability, making it a reliable choice for anyone in need of a body-worn camera.

Very Good Camera, Software A Little Tricky, Good Customer Support
I was pleased with the many features of this camera. It has huge capacity, 128gb. The battery is a powerful 3500mAh, in some cases twice the size of other body camera batteries. The night vision is superb and clear. The video settings are numerous, and even on a quite low setting to conserve storage space, the video is crystal clear. Audio is very clear and picks up sounds easily. UPDATE - 6-23-2019 - I have used this body camera for almost a month. I cannot get the Cammpro to pick up a GPS signal. My drones instantly pick up 12-17 satellites, my smartphone detects over 14 satellites, the Cammpro will not detect one satellite. I am returning it. I liked everything else about it, but to create a track of my activity I must have solid GPS tracking. The buttons seem to be standard for many brands of body cameras. There is one-touch video, photo and audio. You can take photos in bursts of several numbers. The video can pre-record prior to actually starting the video (because of video buffering) and continue for a set time after you turn the video off. This is a very feature-rich camera. The software was a bit difficult and I was getting frustrated. BUT... customer support pulled through. Three people helped; William, Hannah and Kochi. It ended up that Kochi sent some files to unzip. That was easy. Just download a trial version of WinZip from CNET and you're good to go. He also sent detailed instructions to set up the Body Camera Management System. It should be easier than what it was but in the end, it now works and I am happy with the camera and software.

Superior Body Camera
This is quiet possible the single best body camera I've ever had. I've been issued a couple by my department, and they were ok, worked well, but always had an issue of one type or another, and eventually would fail at the worst possible time! This CammPro has been nothing but smooth right out of the box! Easy set up, very easy to review footage while on the go and an awesome amount of storage for an on body camera! Set up and charging is quick and easy, hassle free use, personally if you are looking for a bodycam for yourself, regardless of job or position, Uber, security, delivery or LEO this would be the one I would recommend.
