This is a brand new Stainless Steel muzzle brake that will fit Commander model 1911 pistols and most 1911 clones. A Commander has a 4.25 inch barrel. A Full Size or Government Model 1911 has a 5 inch barrel For Full Size compensators see our other listings. Our compensators can be fitted to .38 and 9mm. Just check your barrel dimensions against our specs. The bushing ID. Is .583" +-.0005". In general, they will fit any 1911 clone pistol that has a barrel OD. between .577"-581". Installation Instructions and Use : Start with the guide rod installed in the slide. Insert spring, then insert spring cap. Depress the spring cap, insert comp. Twist to lock into place. We are now using a superior, Hardened Stainless Steel!!!!
