Just as shown. All you have to do is screw in the perch. It fits fine. Was easy for me to hang in their cage now let's hope for babies.

Not very sturdy or durable, but does the job at least once or twice.
I've purchased several of these, from different merchants at Amazon. This particular time and merchant, the nests arrived in good condition, fully assembled and ready to use. These next boxes are basically all the same, not made to last for very long. They're made from a very soft wood which the birds enjoy to eat even before using as nests. They look good, but they're not very durable. For durability, I'd suggest buying nests boxes made out of a harder wood.

Itโs fine
Got this box a while ago for our parakeets. The box is fine honestly. The birds loved it! One of our females actually laid eggs in it. :) The only downfall to this box is that our screws got real loose after some time, but overall for the price Iโd probably just buy another one

worked for babies
i put this on the bottom of the cage for when the babies first leave the nest and are not sure of thier wings... leave the top door open so they can come and go as they please and they can still cuddle together but not be restricted as they are in a closed nest box..... it is perfect for them so far have had 2 groups use like that and they seem very content in it and are easy to lift to my finger to start finger training.

Ideal for cockatiels.
I bought two of these for my son's two pairs of cockatiels. He said they are the perfect size and fit well on the large cage (one at either end). Now he's just waiting for some eggs!
