Can you give me an estimate how long this takes to charge batteries? Say a 7.2v 1600mAh NiMH or a 7.2v 3200mAh LiPO

This charger's max charge rate is listed at 5.0 A (5000mA).  From here you just do the math...  mAh = milliAmphours.  If your battery is a 1600mAh capacity, that means you can run an electronic device drawing 1600mAh for 1 hour before your battery is exhausted.  The same thing applies to charging.  If you want to charge your 1600mAh battery at the 5000mA rate, it would be 1600/5000 = 0.32 * 60 minutes = 19.2 minutes total charging time.For your 3200mAh battery, it would be 38.4 minutes.Hope that helps!

Can the tenergy tb6-b be used to discharge a battery in order to measure its capacity?

This is a $10-15 dollar item. When sold at this price range the seller makes 20-30% profit on the product. Now if you buy this same item for $60 your giving your hard earned cash away. I purchased 5 of these from the same factory directly from China 10-12 yrs ago. I see this item now being sold for an absurd price. How is this possible? So long as it sells do you think Amazon cares or the seller. If the buyer has no clue that a design is simply being repacked and labeled and praised as amazing that person unaware will buy. Now people if your lucky enough to be reading this look elsewhere and best wishes. I had to write this not to mess with Tenergy's bottom line but the markup is to extreme and I'm watching buyers flood in unaware or unknowing what there buying.  This is a wide spread problem that I'm watching on Amazon not specific to this product. Great for sellers but buyers are getting hosed thinking they are getting a deal as they buy on trusted amazon for a good online deal yet they are now paying for many items a 50% markup. Good luck to you my friend.  Where safety is concerned if your buying this item and are unaware then you need to buy an actual charger that has you best intentions at the price point $60 ^.

yes it will , i have a ASSOCIATED 738 WolfPack LiPo 2S 7.4V 3800mAh 25C Shorty ASCC0739 .It will also charge the Team Associated 317 Reedy LiPo 5200mAh Square 7.4V 50C Competition Battery and any battery from there on down.
