The fan is surprisingly quiet - much quieter than my previous one. The unit is beautiful, and Hunter seems to have learned from reviews of its products that they should not print their name on the lens, as my lens has nothing printed on it. The electrician had no problem installing the unit, except for one thing: the side-mounted exhaust assumes your ceiling is exactly 1/2” thick. I have an older house with a 1” thick plaster ceiling. The unit thus had to be recessed into the ceiling a half inch, rather than being flush with it. This made the pre-installed mounting bolts in the base unit too short to mount the lighting unit to it. These are specialized bolts than you’re not going to be able to buy anywhere (except perhaps online somewhere), but we were able to replace them with standard #10-24 bolts from the local hardware store. The replacement bolts work just fine, they just took extra time to acquire and install. This issue could easily have been prevented by the designer, by just raising the exhaust hole a little; it doesn’t have to be 1/2” from the bottom of the base unit. In any case, I’m very happy with the end result, and give this item five stars.

Good looking and unobtrusive. So impressed with the noiselessness of this fan with light. It is quite large. That much is true. But a clean look.

Once installed, fan looks nice, seems to work fine, and is quieter than expected. Kind of hard to beat for the price considering you also get the light. The things I didn't like: Instructions are terrible. Zero words, just some "ok" pictures. Seems like there are multiple ways to install this fan, and they have all of them bunched together with no noted separation. I recommend that you cut your hole, then get in the attic to see your best option of supporting it. The bolts that hold the light fixture on are too short (for a lot of people). Unless you have thin ceiling material, go ahead and get longer bolts. I just bought some 10x24 by 2" bolts, and a pack of 10 nuts. Removed the installed bolts it came with, then threaded one nut onto the bolt all the way to the head, pushed it through the hole, then another nut all the way up to tighten bolt in place. Worked for my 1" thick ceiling. The design "flaw" that I feel caused this is the 4" outlet being too low on housing. The outlet hits the ceiling from the attic side, causing someone with thick ceiling material to have to mount the fan higher than flush, which makes the bolts too short for the light fixture. These issues are easily worked around, but if you don't know about them, you might have to make a trip to the hardware store mid install.

We ordered one that had a scratch so we had to send it back. The 2nd one was perfect! It's beautiful in our bathroom we are remodeling. Gives a nice light and the fan is quiet! Installation wasn't bad. Looks classy we are really pleased.

There are many versions of this fan/light unit sold by various companies. I purchased this unit because when the incandescent light bulbs the builder had used burned out in its older version, I was unable to disassemble the light/fan unit without breaking the glass shade. This was because the old version allowed the base to rotate, making it impossible to rotate the shade in the base and remove it. I was not amused, and was even less amused to discover that no one sells a replacement shade. Hence this purchase. The ceiling mounting on this version is improved making it possible to remove the shade it the LED bulbs I used this time burn out someday. The unit otherwise is very good; the fan is quiet but powerful and does not have any vibration. Just pay attention to mounting the base solidly, use LED bulbs, and practice removing and replacing the shade a few times against the chance you might need to do so in the future -since you cannot buy just a replacement shade.

Only 4 stars on the install, but that had to do more with getting the old light/fan housing out. It looks beautiful in the newly remodeled master bathroom. Loved my existing vanity lights, so was able to keep those, as the finish...satin nickel, and the white swirled glass matched exactly! Price was fair, arrived in a timely matter, all the pieces were there, instructions good, and working like a charm! Would definitely recommend this product!

This light fixture is beautifu but it quit working after 9 months. That is completely unacceptable. I shouldn't have to buy a warranty on a light fixture. Especially one I paid $137 for! I'd give it zero stars if I could.

Fan looks really good. A part came cracked and the seller was quick to reply and sent a new part right away.

Installed fast, very quiet compared to our old fan. Would recommend!

The glass shade is thin. Had to buy entire fixture as shade on my first one broke when unscrewing to clean. I wish replacement shades were available. Works otherwise but not a very powerful extractor.
