UPDATE: SUPER PET BED!!
Three Years Later... I am online today looking for another dog bed — not because this one didn’t hold up, but because we have a second dog and another on the way! I just saw my old review and it made me think I should let you know why I think this dog bed is totally worth the money. Our Portuguese Water Dog was pictured on the bed three years ago when we first bought it. She uses it everyday and recently has had to share her bed with our 1 year old 13lb Havanese for the past year. She has gotten used to it, and the little boy loves snuggling, but we are adopting another next week and the three of them will simply be too much! I do launder the cover regularly and it washed great, so I bought a second cover. It is also relatively easy to get on and off considering the complexity of the bed design (which the dog really likes for the bolsters and I really like for it’s clean line design.) For the past three years I have alternated the two covers every two weeks or so, so they each get laundered once every 1 - 1 1/2 months. The fabric of the cloth covers is showing some wear, but that is to be expected after the frequent use and laundering and they are still in one piece and working well. The foam has held up extremely well — I seriously can’t tell the difference from when we first got it. As I have looked around at what is available now, I see the Brentwood Home pet bed that looks as nice or nicer, but it is even more expensive as are the replacement covers (if you can find them.) The other beds don’t have as nice a foam interior bed, or they don’t have a waterproof liner, or they don’t have replacement covers. I really can’t believe there is still nothing out that compares to this bed. So, suffice to say, I heartily recommend it! Side note: My one problem now is that when I was changing the cloth covers a couple months ago, I got interrupted and left the interior foam bed unattended. It has a nice waterproof cover/liner on the foam, so that you can remove the cover to wash and wipe it down if the dog has an accident. Well, the little Havanese must have thought it looked like a toy because when I returned he had already started to shred it. The foam was still fine and I taped up the plasticy liner as best I could but now it is starting to fall apart around where I taped it up. I haven’t been able to find a replacement for this interior cover and need to look for a Sealy customer service number to see if they can help. —————————————- Our Portuguese Water Dog has been sleeping around the house on pillows , blankets or a mat in the mudroom for years now. She has never chewed or shredded the fluffy pillows or mats that we have given her over the years. I have simply given her whatever we have around or found on sale and it more or less just marks her spot -- or keeps the furniture from being marked. However, since she turned 9 recently I have noticed her limping around the house several days a week and it seems to be worse in the mornings. The vet said it's likely she is starting to have arthritis -- and feeling guilty about the state of her sleeping arrangements, I researched comfort/orthopedic dog beds. This dog bed was the best option for us given it's size, cost, generous pad thickness & comfy bumper -- it also had a number of positive reviews wherever I saw it online. As usual, I look around but ended up buying it at Amazon due to their competitive price, excellent customer service and free Prime shipping. Our dog is about 45 pounds and medium sized -- and the medium sized bed fits her perfectly. If we were more concerned about space or had a dog that always curled up to sleep, we might have been able to go with a size smaller. But the medium allows her to stretch out as well, resting her head on the bumper as she does. We have had it a month now and it has held up well. I put a blanket over it so I don't have to wash the cover as often. I will pull it off in the coming week for it's first launder and post again as to how it washes up. I will also see if they sell the cover only, so I can just rotate them. But the real test is does the dog sleep in it? Does she seem more comfortable than before? Yes and Yes. While she still prefers a human bed or sofa, if she has to stay in the mudroom, she's in her bed and not on the floor much anymore. She also doesn't seem to be limping around as much. All in all, I am very happy with this find -- good looking for me and comfortable for my girl!

Ollie loves it... I do too.
After looking at 3rd party dog bed review sites, it came down to this, the Casper dog bed and the PetFusion bed. Ultimately, I decided on the Sealy because: -It seemingly has a better thought out foam layering which uses cooling gel memory foam and a charcoal infused base foam. If the cooling gel foam works, that’s great because it should make the bed more appealing than the others in the summer. The charcoal layer should resist bacteria better than the other bed options. -The foam carries a 5 year warranty. The other two have only 1 year warranties. -The Sealy looks a lot nicer both in design/ and color (modern gray) than the PetFusion and in color over the Casper. I don’t want an ugly large bed in my living room. -The Sealy seems of higher quality And is cheaper. $145 vs. $180 for the comparably sized PetFusion and $225 for the Casper. -As a long time bed manufacturer, they probably have more and better experience making a well-made, comfortable and long lasting product. -This has a waterproof cover over the foam. The Casper does not. Received the bed today. It was very easy and quick to assemble - aside from waiting 2 hours for the foam to expand. The cover is really well made and constructed. There is a separate zipped compartment for the bolster and then a main zipped compartment for the rest of the bed. The fabric covered the foam with a perfect fit and the zippers slide like butter. The bed and bolster both offer great support. It’s by no means too soft as somebody else suggested. It contours to my 72lb dog’s curves while not giving way to the rest of his weight. He’s really been loving it today and looks really comfortable sprawled out on it napping. I would definitely reorder this bed if given a 2nd chance. Ordered a Large for my 72lb medium+ sized dog. Perfect fit. Note: You should take a tape measure while your dog is sleeping and measure from his bum to his nose. My dog likes to sprawl out a lot so I made sure to get that measurement vs. his more curled and compact position. You don’t want to get too small of a bed that prevents them from really being comfortable. Take that nose to tail dimension, add 8” for the 4” bolster on each side and then you’ll have the minimum long dimension. The dimensions listed are the dimensions including the bolsters so the inside dimensions of the large are more like 34”x24”.

He loves it, and so far I do too!
I've only had this bed for a couple of hours, so I may change my review later. Like all dogs Darwin deserves only the best. Darwin is an 8 year old Golden Retriever who weighs 82 pounds. I spent hours researching dog beds. I was willing to spend up to about 250.00 and in the end it was between this bed and the Casper bed. After looking at numerous Casper reviews I decided that the fabric didn't look all that much better, that the support was probably similar, and that the usable size of the Casper was just a bit to small. Also, Darwin tends to run hot and I appreciated the cooling feature of this bed. I wanted an orthopedic bed (no cheap foam) that is firm enough to support him, but soft enough so he feels comfortable. This met that with flying colors. It is reminiscent of my expensive latex mattress topper. I also did not want any of the velour/fuzzy fabric that most beds were made of. Dog hair just gets all over it and it doesn't seem as easy to clean. The sides of this are light grade upholstery, and the top of the mattress is similar to a bed sheet. I'm fine with the sides, but the top is not the sturdiest. I've already ordered a cooling pet blanket that I will tuck on top of the bed, so that will work fine. Darwin immediately hopped on the bed and began vigorously scratching it. No damage at all. It does not smell (as some new foam does). It was very easy to put together - less than five minutes alone. It isn't fully expanded yet, but Darwin already seems to like it. I'll update my post later, but for now, I think that Darwin will be having sweet dreams in this bed

One happy senior pup ❤️
So I scooped her up mid nap and migrated her into the bed and she was comfortable continuing to sleep on the new bed haha! We're only on day one so I still gotta see how she likes it for regular sleeping since she'll go between a couple spots in the house to sleep and take naps, but so far we're getting good puppy reviews! She's a 15 year old Shih Tzu with arthritis, so I figured it was about time to get her an orthopedic bed to support her. I mainly picked this one because it has a cooling layer on top as well as a removeable cover and liquid resistant covers for the bolster and bed itself. Took about an hour to fully come to normal size after unpacking, the cover is machine washable which was the first thing I did as it had a little bit of the new manufature smell. Super easy to assemble and put together, you do kinda gotta be careful with the zippers because the bottom does unzip fully. Once everything is zipped though it feels pretty solid. I ordered a medium since I was concerned about the small not being big enough to stretch and roll around as needed so the medium works well for her. She's a pretty big Shih Tzu (17lbs, extra long pup) so I wanted to make sure she was comfortable, but I also did measure the size to make sure it would work well for her. It is accurate to what I measured out which is good! I added a video for reference, she's not a super big dog by all means, more just a princess that likes her space lololol. It does feel super solid once its inflated which is nice since it feels like it'll give her the support her joints need while being firm enough to hold her up well. The top layer does feel nice and cool which will be awesome when it get hot! So far it's going great for her and I hope the new bed helps her sleep more comfortably :')

Love the bed, but !
My dog loves this bed- But- the cover can not withstand very many washings. After just a few washings the backing began to rip. This bed has a soevializedciver that keep the all the pieces together, without the original cover the bed would be useless, so I had to figure out a solution. The Sealy Company does not respond to inquiries- too many attempts to count over 16 months of trying. When I purchased the bed replacement covers were available through Sealy, now there are no replacement covers to be found anywhere and the company will not responded to my inquires. I’m still using the old cover but needed a solution to the delicate condition of the Sealy dog bed cover. In the photo the white spots are where the back/floor facing of the bed cover are ready to rip or already have. I tried using beach towels and attaching them with suspenders underneath the bed, but that didn’t work well enough, my dog moved the towel aside easily. I then tried ordering cotton crib sheets, (I am able to wash as frequently as needed and they don’t fall apart) and this is making it easy to keep the Sealy dog bed clean, the crib sheet it fits perfectly and my dog can’t pull it off. If you have this bed and can’t find a replacement cover or are trying to preserve the cover so you can use the bed longer the crib sheets work great. Saves time in trying to get help from Sealy, saves time in taking the sneaky cover off and on again, which is much more time consuming than using the crib sheet. Sealynade a terrific dog bed but the Customer Service department must be a thing of the past. They never helped in my many many requests, so hopefully this solution will help you.

Likes it enough to stay off my bed... so far
I recently purchased the Sealy Lux Quad Layer Orthopedic Dog Bed for my (6 year old) old English bulldog and I am very pleased with the product. The bed is very well made and has a durable construction that has held up well against my dog's scratching and pawing. What sets this bed apart is the quad layer technology that provides ample support and comfort for my dog. The bed has a thick memory foam base that contours to my dog's body, which helps relieve pressure on her joints and provides a comfortable sleeping surface. The bolsters on the sides are also well-padded, providing a nice place for my dog to rest her head or lean against. The bed is also very easy to clean, as the cover is machine washable and can be removed easily with the help of the zipper. I appreciate the fact that the bed has a non-skid bottom, which ensures that it stays in place and doesn't slip around on my hardwood floors. Overall, I highly recommend the Sealy Lux Quad Layer Orthopedic Dog Bed for anyone who wants to provide their furry friend with a comfortable and supportive place to rest. It's a bit more expensive than some other dog beds on the market, but it's definitely worth the investment for the quality and comfort it provides.

Most comfortable dog bed I ever bought!
I bought this Sealy bed 8 months ago. My senior dog (14 yr old 50lb Border Collie) spent one winter and spring on it so far, but now in summer she finds it a bit too hot to sleep overnight on it. Short naps during the day are fine, but at night she avoids it and rather sleeps on the floor next to it. In winter though, she loved it and stayed there all night. The foam is of VERY good quality - no sagging, no strange odors, no discolorations after 8 months. In the past 8 months I have washed this bed numerous times (more than 10x) and the cover still looks like new. No rips or tears, neither from the dog or from the washing machine. The zippers are large enough and do not snag or jam. It is VERY easy to put the bed together once you know which side is which. Even though the size is quite big, I have no trouble putting it back together by myself. I bought the largest size because I measured my dog while she was all stretched out. But as I said, she doesn't use this bed much in summer and never stretches out on it, so it is somewhat too large for her. In winter, she likes to curl up on it, and then there is room enough for another dog her size. So in closing, this bed deserves a solid 5 star rating. There is nothing negative at all to say about it.

High Quality Foam Dog Bed; Prefer over Casper and Eluxury
I never write product reviews, but after spending a significant amount of time shopping around for dog beds I thought a review could be useful for others. I purchased this Sealy bed, along with a Casper, to replace two Eluxury orthopedic mattresses that I purchased 2 years ago. The Eluxury mattresses were no longer supportive and my Goldens were sinking into them. I loved the Sealy the moment I took it out of the box. The Sealy felt heavier and denser than any foam dog bed I have felt before, which is a sign of a higher quality foam mattress. The Sealy bed filled out quickly after unpacking it and was easy to assemble. The Casper mattress, on the other hand, looked and felt like a low-quality foam pillow coming out of the box, and 2 hours later it was still scrunched, misshapen, and flat. It did not bounce into shape the way the Sealy did. This actually turned out to be a good thing, since it made the Casper bed easier to get back into the box in preparation for returning it. The moment I put the Sealy on the floor my 10-year old Golden got up from the old Eluxury bed to investigate the new Sealy. He lied down on the Sealy and immediately fell into a deep sleep. He had been sinking into the Eluxury, but the Sealy is very supportive. We don't see him sinking into it the way he did on his old bed. The Sealy is both soft and supportive. It feels like true memory foam. This is just what we were looking for, as he is an older Golden with typical older dog pains. I must admit, I did try out all 3 dog beds myself. The Sealy felt supportive, without being hard. When I lied down on the Casper and the Eluxury, I immediately sunk through the foam and could feel the floor underneath. After trying out the Sealy dog bed, I might actually consider a Sealy for a human bed (I currently sleep on a Leesa). While I am sure the Casper human mattresses are better than the dog bed, I would never consider a Casper human mattress after this experience.

Surprised seeing my Bichon Frise claim up the bed almost immediately & stay on the bed playing with her toys. I bought medium size that I did not expect that it was so spacious that she always prefer bigger space. Personally, am also using Sealy posturepedic mattress. Very comfortable.

A safe and well made bed for my dog finally!
My little dog is getting old so I thought it will be good to get him a good posturepeidc bed so he will be more comfortable. He already have one but I want to get him a king size bed instead since he is a stretcher. So I got him a medium size! As you can see in the photo, he loves this bed and loves lying on it and there is so much room and his lamb chops can be him as he uses lamb chop at times as a pillow and sometimes he actually hugs lamb chop while sleeping. This bed is well made and very comfortable to touch, the most important part I love about this bed is the material used to make it. It is very important that the materials use is safe for the dog. The foam is made without mercury, lead, heavy metals or formaldehyde unlike most other dog beds where these foams are toxic. So I am extremely happy that Sealy takes safety into consideration and care. Two things I like to ask the seller are: 1. How come the bolster does not have any liner cover like the mattress? 2. How come you don’t sell replacement covers?

Very durable and good quality with perfect sized small bolsters
I have one of these beds from Sealy already in the biggest size they used to offer and it stil looks like new after 13 years of usage by my labrador and german shepherd. Now I wanted to buy another one slightly bigger for my new germen shepherd who only likes small bolsters. I wanted orthopedic bed and it was hard to find any to fit my requirements. Thank god Wag continued in Sealy dog beds. Im very satisfied with the bed,so is my dog. Would reccomend. Very durable. Stil using the 13 year old one daily. My dog is 32 kg,62 cm tall and I got the XL size.
