BELL Segment Adult Bike Helmet

It's a half-shell, so it is going to be warm. However, I've not found it to be too hot, even in the summer.The segmented design is comfy, it fits to your head very well. This is my second time buying this helmet, and I will keep buying it as long as Bell manufactures it.Comes with multiple pads to get the best fit. They velcro in onto the foam.The chinstrap is very long, so I honestly cut and tape the end so there's no dangling bit.Helmet has a matte but smooth finish, the red gradient looks nice. 10/10. Keeps your brain intact.

This helmet is great! I love the Star Wars design and the way it looks. But more importantly I love the way it saved my head from injury. I got a Segway MiniPRO and bought this helmet to use with my new Segway. Unfortunately while coming back from a 5.5 mile ride I lost my balance on my Segway MiniPRO while going down a sidewalk ramp. I fell backwards hitting the back of my head onto the asphalt. Lucky the helmet protected my head and saved me from going to the hospital. Besides minor scratches there was no major damage done to the helmet.I bought the Large size and I think if I had gotten the medium size it would have felt too snug/tight on my head, so I'm glad I went with the Large.

UPDATED REVIEW: I give it FIVE stars now!Size Medium was TOO SMALL!! I measured my noggin at 22 inches at the largest part. The sizing chart called for a medium but I'm returning it for a large. Update: large is in, fits perfect with larger inserts - Kryptonite color can be seen from SPACE, looks great with the matching Specialized bike (sold separately).NOTE: the Matte Grey/Green is a Matte grey HELMET with a Green chinstrap. Video review attached of what it looks like in REAL LIFE in direct sunlight - feels like it would protect from a decent spill, many of which I intend on having ... but off road only!

The small size seems OK. My 12 year old measured 21.5 inches, which is right at the limit for this size (21.6 inches max). It fits snug with the smallest pads in it. Biggest problem is getting him to wear it forward to protect his forehead, he likes to push it back too much.He will need a medium soon, but I'm glad I got this size for now, rather than one that is too big so he can "grow into it." I will not complain about spending another $30 in six months to protect my kid's skull.

I bought a Medium according to the size guide and it fit great. I made the fit even better/ tighter by swapping one of the padding strips that came in the package for one of the thicker ones. Make sure to try different padding levels to adjust the fit of the helmet (it should be snug!)It does make my hair a bit sweaty on warmer days, but that doesn't bother me too much. If you sweat very heavily you may wanna consider a helmet with more vents, but for my purposes this helmet is perfect. Plus the color matches my bike, love it!

I purchased this helmet to accompany a Kickbike City G4 footbike. The white helmet has a nice, clean look to it!I usually have to wear large caps and hats, but when I measured my head size, I was surprised that I was within a centimeter of the medium maximum size. I purchased the medium with some concern that it might be too small. I was surprised to find that it fits snugly, but comfortably. I agree with other reviewers about the comfort of this helmet; it does flex to fit without discomfort, and doesn't seem to feel too hot on a hot day. In fact, I forgot I was even wearing it--case closed!

Bought this helmet to replace a Bern helmet that was just too stiff and too tight even though I bought per Bern's sizing recommendations. This LARGE size BELL SEGMENT helmet is perfect! The fit is ideal for my 23.5" head measurement. I very much like the design with the segmented inner foam and somewhat more supple outer shell which does conform more freely to my head. This helmet also includes some removable padded inserts of several thicknesses which further allow the user to adjust the fit. This makes a lot of sense and I'm happy I made the switch.

The helmet is a good fit and fairly comfortable. I measured my big melon, and the fit was predictably correct. The color was not quite what I expected. It was a rather dark matte brown, almost black looking in certain light. I sprayed it with a clear polyurethane in a can and it brought out the sparkle and light brown color very nicely. Pretty good helmet either way though, and inexpensive for sure.
