Since I use lots of SD card storage and I’m constantly transferring files, this was the exact piece I needed. I chose the USB 3.0 which works flawlessly and has fantastic speed. Came in 2 days. There are a few reasons to choose this handy piece: First off, lots of PC’s and laptops DO NOT have SD card slots which caught me by surprise. But every PC and Laptop has a USB slot. So this come into use. Second, the speed is really fast. Normally on a regular SD card adapter transfers files normally around 15-20MBs per second. This however does it at around 85MBs per second. So ironically, I use this over SD card adapters. (Note: this was on USB 3.0) Thirdly, the size is perfect. It easily fits into any pocket and a decent build. Has two protecting cases on the end of the USB slot and type C which is nice. Just to confirm, I tested all components work perfectly fine and no defects for me. You could use both the SD card and Micro SD card slot at the same time, though I’m almost sure your speeds will slow down. Overall, it’s super worth it and good to have even just lying around. And it’s a great price so you have really not much to lose. Highly recommended for anyone and heavy duty transferring.

I bought this because my old SD Card reader had failed. When it failed I went to WalMart and bought the only SDCard reader they had. That one was only USB 2.0. I figured USB 2.0 would be fast enough. I was wrong. I use a GoPro with a 128gb Samsung SD Card. It breaks up the video into 2GB files, which is great for benchmarking. Using the command line on my Mac, I used the time command to time how long it’d take to copy two different files that are both exactly the same, off of the SD card and onto my NVME internal storage disk. This nice new Type C USB 3 adapter, 23.74 seconds. The piece of junk I got from WalMart, 1 minute, 54 seconds! That makes this reader all but five times faster!! And that was only 2GB, imagine if I needed to dump a whole 128gb off that card! I love that this has both normal USB A ports, as well as the new USB C ports, because, as you know, all of the current MacBooks only have USB C ports. It’s nice not having to use an adapter on those devices. So yeah, the price is pretty awesome. The device actually works. This is the one you should be buying. No regrets.

The SD went in almost halfway. I first assumed it did not go in enough to be ready. when I plugged in the PC USB, I was surprised to see it detected. finally worked well.

Exactly what I was needing. Works great, used it to transfer pictures from my Samsung Galaxy S25 to my Lenovo Yoga laptop. Affordable price too!

I bought this to check SD cards on game cameras/trail cameras. It has USB C connection which is what I need for my Samsung phone. It had a difficulty at first being recognized on my phone but after a couple tweaks, I was able to view the micro SD card. This reads and transfers pictures very fast. Adding this to my PC was quite easy, just plug and play. The dongle is just the right size to be able to use without getting in the way. The quality seems to be quite good. It's also capable of reading other cards such as full size SD cards, TF and more. It's so much better than having to pull an SD card from a camera and having to bring it home to my PC then bring it back to the woods. Very good product overall.

As a professiona photographer/videographer, I needed something to off load my photos and videos from my camera to my Mac ... and this was the solution. Works great and have had no problems. As a matter of fact, I'm going to purchase a second one so I have one for office and home.

Reg USB worked on laptop, plug n play. USB C did not work on my android phone (Samsung) I tried connecting to phone, did not detect adapter. Plugged unto laptop reg usb port, immediately picked up

This thing is awesome. My gopro uses micro SD card. This thing makes it so easy to plug into the bottom of my phone and move videos and pictures. It's so fast transferring data. It's all plastic so as far as durability i would be careful. But the covers over the USB and type c keep it safe. Its super to remove it from phone or computer. I haven't had it overheat at all.

Worked great, no complaints really. The only thing is the usb c adapter doesn't work with a phone case as it doesn't protrude far enough out.

Much easier than shelling out for an expensive adapter. Works brilliantly.
