Overall, this is a really terrific costume that will stand up to some wear and tear. My 4-year-old is much taller than most kids his age, and we were very frustrated to find that the standard Clone Trooper costume we bought at the store just barely fit him, despite being labeled as fitting kids 5-7 years old. This Darth Vader costume was a good find for us, as it's roomy and will last him for at least a year or two. The good: The costume itself is pretty well-constructed, and much more detailed than the standard Vader costume you find at a certain huge chain toy store. My son was really wowed by it, and wanted to wear it constantly despite the fact that it was the middle of summer! It's a lot of fun for imaginative play. The silver parts of the suit are actually constructed of a flexible plastic-type substance that gives it a much more realistic, 3-D look than the usual printed costume. The cape is detachable. The bad: Even though the costume shows gloves and a light saber, you'll need to purchase these items separately. (The gauntlet gloves are really nice, and in my opinion, really finish the costume.) The costume belt is WAY too big, and not very adjustable. To get it to fit our son, we have to tie it in the back rather than using the velcro fastener. This makes visiting the bathroom less than fun! I'd buy this costume again, but would be happier if they'd include gloves and make the belt more easily adjustable.

when i got this costume for the 1st time, the left shin pad was twisting the leg and it was too tight, but then we returned the costume, got our money back, and when the new costume came, it was just like how the picture advertised it to be. I can't see how it would only be rated 1 star! I really like this AWESOME costume. But 1 thing you should know before you order this costume is that it doesn't come with gloves or a lightsaber. Although they aren't hard to find at walmart or any "toy" store. It is totally worth buying. And it is definitely worth the shipping time and the material isn't that cheap. I can sincerely tell you that it will last and if you are at all thinking "maybe i shouldn't buy it", then think twice because you will regret if you don't get it. I promise YOU WILL REMEMBER THIS REVIEW. May the force be with you.

First one we got had a broken mask, so they sent us a new one, and it looked ok... at first glance. We put the costume on, and immediately I noticed the stitches were away from collar. I had to safety pin the cape into place. The shoe cover is too small, but the elastic was enormous, so it never covered my daughter's feet. The helmet dug into her neck, and was way too big. My husband ended up wearing it about 15 minutes into trick or treating. It fit a grown adult, not a kid. By the end of trick or treating, the knee covers had ripped away, and the fabric was absolutely disintegrating. Totally disappointed in this because I had hoped she could wear it to the premier of the new movie (Vader is her favorite, we know he isn't in the next film) or to go to Disneyland this winter, but honestly, I'll try to salvage what we can from the breast plate, and make her something else. I won't be purchasing another costume again. We were extremely disappointed.

Great costume! We bought a different Darth Vader costume from one of the Halloween stores near us but it didn't fit and we had to return it. Compared to that one this one is much better quality. This one has actual 3D molding on the chest and calves. It is a bit small for the size though. I ordered the size for 8-10 year olds just to be safe for my boy who just turned 7 but it slightly tall for his age. It fits him perfectly but would not fit a 9 or 10 year old very well.

i bought it for my thirteen year old, and he loved it. the material is of reasonable quality, and the size is accurate if you usually buy 12-14 size cloths for them. (for my son i usually have to buy 14-16 size cloths and this one was a "tiny" bit small, but still he could manage it) the only negative thing was the cap do not have anything behind it so it will look odd. you could manage it by wearing a black hoody under or a black cap though. overall, worth the money.

the mask is a half mask. So I went to the trouble of ordering a full wrap around mask to make the costume a bit more authentic. The outfit itself is ok, made of thin nylon material. The detail is not perfect and it seems quite flimsy. On the other hand, I ordered a far more expensive Darth costume and had to send it back due to defects. So if you have order a subpar costume, at least don't go for the "elite" and spend the extra money. It's best to settle for this so-called "deluxe" costume, which will function well enough for Halloween. One problem I have is that the cape is incredibly sheer (cheap). Also, there are no gloves with it! And of course no light saber. There are built-in boot covers (personally I would prefer they weren't there, because I already have black boots). Overall, I'm not particularly impressed w/ this costume, but I am resigned to a lack of quality in Darth Vader costumes.

Mon fils est ravi. Le costume est super et très complet. Il me paraissait immense pour mon fils de presque 5 ans. Il est effectivement très long mais la fluidité du tissu fait qu'il se plisse au niveau des jambes donc au final il n'aurait pas fallu plus petit. Surtout en largeur. Je doute qu'il aille à un enfant de 8/10 ans. Dommage que les gants ne soient pas fournis compte tenu du prix.

去年は無難な海賊コスチュームにしたところ子供はたいして盛り上がらなかったので、今年は値段が気になりつつもこちらを購入。最近スターウォーズの昔の作品を見ていた子供たちのハートをわしづかみでした！また周囲の大人たちも本格的だね～とか凄いね！とか色々と声をかけてくれましたので、注目度はばっちりだと思います。生地の質などは、まあハロウィン用だからこんなもんか、というレベルですがこれだけ子供が喜ぶなら価値があります。マスクも前面だけなので軽く、子供はちゃんと見えるよと言っていました。ベルトや肩部分のゴムが最初くさいと思いましたがだんだん気にならなくなりました。
