It doesn't say on the ones I have,it is not mentioned in the ingredient either, but you can get some that says zinc free on the packaging.

what colour is this polygrip please?

I have used two types of Polygrip, each a different colour. One matched the denture the other a much paler shade. As it is never visible in use it has never been a consideration for me. Whichever variety I was satisfied with the result.

Used thus for years...but why the hell has it doubled in price in the past few weeks???

Nothing to do with inflation and suppliers. Greed is at the root of this hike in price. It's still available for three pounds in lots of supermarkets. I would change to another adhesive before I would pay that ridiculous price. It's not even that good if you have to reapply it more than once a day. I suggest the seller opens a 'Saw You Coming' shop and sells it there.
