Ordered this while I was sick because I couldn't go out to the store. Was happy because the effect was the same as the popular name brand one. It definitely relieved my symptoms and let me sleep. Definitely controlled my coughing.

Great deal on generic for NyQuil with same ingredients in same amount. Costs less on Amazon than even at local stores. Effectively relieves coughing and sneezing associated with cold and allergies. Relieves tickling itchy throat. Taste is palatable in this green formulation. I find it much more pleasant than the cherry flavored and this regular flavor is easier to find on Amazon. Overall; I highly recommend this item for colds and allergies.

The Amazon Basics line I trust. Excellent quality. This nighttime flu and cold medicine is no exception. It works as well as the brand and saves me money. A very good value for the money spent, indeed. It relieves my cough at night, so I take it right before I get in bed. I don’t have to take a second dose in the middle of the night, which is good. The taste is strong, as expected, so I usually rinse my mouth out with water after I take the swig. I am a very happy customer and highly recommend.

Since the actual Nyquil stopped using 10% alcohol, I have been looking for substitutes. This is a good one. Works well and I think the alcohol is an important part of the recipe.
