I just bought this and the sliding lid hits every rack on the way down/up. I have to manually move each one out of the way -difficult. Operator error?

Hello, make sure that the dehydrator is level and the shelves are pushed all the way to the rear of the unit. That's important otherwise they will prevent the front window cover from sliding up. If when moving the unit to set it in position the shelves move forward, just tip the dehydrator up in the front and they should slide back out of the way. BTW, congratulations on purchasing the Magic Mill dehydrator! I say that because as far as I'm concerned it is one of the best available today. I make delicious beef jerky, cut a 1/4" thickness, in 2.5 hours! in my kitchen. That is pretty hard to beat! The design is perfect in every way. When I use it, I set it on our kitchen range and because the dehydrators output is at the top of the unit I just turn on the exhaust fan in the range hood and the smell is never detected in the house. Enjoy!

Where can you get more anti-stick trays for fruit that for this?

I purchased Kispog silicone sheets and edged silicone trays from Amazon. Have purchased 2 boxes of the sheets so far which allows me to have a spare clean set available. Allows being able to dehydrate onions and then bananas without having to stop to wash and dry the sheets.
