E-outstanding 25-Pack Copper 3mm Light Emitting Diode LED Bezel Holder - Round Lamp Emitting Diode Mount Panel Display Socket Base

I like these a lot. They remind me of the panel mount holders that Radio Shack used to sell a long time ago. They are solid metal and are quite rugged. They come with a plastic non-conductive LED insert (necessary because everything else is conductive), a metal lock-washer, and a metal retaining nut. To use these you drill a hole in your project panel just large enough for the threaded base to fit through. Then insert a 5mm round LED into the threaded base, slide the plastic retainer over the LED leads, and firmly push the plastic retainer into the base. Remove the nut and lock washer, insert the mounted LED into the front panel of your project and install the lock-washer and nut. I was originally concerned that the plastic insert would not stay in place, but after installing an LED it was very difficult to remove. I'm confident the LED will stay in place against all but the most severe abuse. Be sure not to over-tighten the retaining nut as it's not machined tightly enough to withstand a lot of force. Tighten until snug and the lock-washer will keep it in place.

These bezels really improved the look of my control panel. Drill the hole, insert the bezel, and tighten the nut on the back side. The plastic stoppers have holes for two leads, and they hold the light firmly in place. Note, these will not work with common cathode bi color LEDs that use three leads.

I was just hot gluing the led bulbs in when making indicator panels. These make for a nice finished look when panel mounting your LEDs. The light panels were to indicate where model trains were inside of large tunnels and which tracks were active so other trains could pass. They come in 2 different sizes depending on the size of the bulbs.

The LED's I bought for my light system were pre-wired with resister. Therefore I could not put the wires through the plastic holder (resister would not fit through didn't like these clips. I gave it 4 stars as my situation didn't allow me to use them so I don't really know if they are 5-star worthy.

I love these little guys. The plastic backing does position the led cathode/anode wires funny, but other than that I love the look and ease of use

I use these for all my guitar effects pedal builds. They completely protect the led from stomping boots. They work great high quality.

I've bought some other LED bezels that were garbage, but these are the real deal. They are well made, the parts fit together as they should, and they are attractive. Consistency appears to be good across pieces.
