Awesome Product
This is a very nice track. It installed relatively easy and looks great. Works well. I would certainly buy another for a new vehicle. The track is Aluminum. The bolts are Stainless Steel The Washers are nylon. The anchors are steel. I am very please with this purchase and most anything else from Thule.

Great concept - don't ruin your roof
The plugs that are shipped with the tracks do not work. I drilled 3/8 holes in my roof at the plugs do not have enough friction to expand. The tools supplied do not work well and the materials are poorly made. My recommendation is to purchase from a professional rack company and have them do the install. They most likely have superior attachment plugs and tools. I hope my roof doesn't leak.

Great product, tracks allow racks to be placed as ...
These TP54 are the tracks you want if you are installing on sheet metal. If installing on fiberglass use the TB 60, as they come with the correct hardware. Great product, tracks allow racks to be placed as close or as far apart as you need them.

Waste of time
Installation instructions warn that a "Track Fit Sheet" must be referred to and followed, but none is provided. Thule has not responded to an inquiry, and a web search has led nowhere. Just accept that the multiple drilled holes in the roof of your new car will likely not result in a useable installation, will require costly repair, and Thule will dismiss your complaint with "the instructions were not followed".

Mostly OK But Watch Out for Flare Nits
I installed this on my fiberglass camper shell using the provided flare nuts. After two seasons use one to track started to come off. I think these nuts crush and wear off the fiberglass over use. I went back and replaced these with S.S. bolts that went all the way through the fiberglass and headliner and use fender washers and nylon insert nuts inside. I feel better now. The track itself is a little thin in my opinion. Keep your eyes on it for deformation when you tighten down the towers.
