This enzyme works great for me. I have acid reflux & have been on acid reflux medications for at least 22 years. I had been taking one acid reflux medication in the morning & one at night but was able to stop taking the medication in the morning. I still have to take the acid reflux medication at night but am glad I could stop taking the morning medication because my doctor wanted me to stop taking that one because of side effects. I also have IBS & have been dealing with it since 2006. I have been able to keep my IBS in remission for a little over a year by going gluten free but have always had problems with constipation. By taking this enzyme once a day with a large meal my bowel movements are quick & normal. It use to take anywhere between 1 hour & 15 minutes to 2 hours in the morning & 1 hour and 30 minutes at night to have a bowel movement & now the longest it takes is maybe 15 minutes. I was taking the enzyme twice a day, one capsule with a small meal in the morning & one capsule at dinner with a large meal but had to back off to just one capsule at dinner with a large meal. The enzyme was too strong to take with a small meal, especially with my IBS & having an overactive GI tract. Taking the enzyme twice a day was causing my bowels to be too active, similar to the way my bowels act up when I have an IBS flare up.

I have suffered from IBS for most of my life. I have tried over the counter aids, prescriptions and diet changes to combat various symptoms but still have my moments of grief. I started taking digestive enzymes last year and was pretty impressed with the results. I was introduced to this brand in particular by way of their prenatal vitamins (also a good quality product) and made the permanent switch to their digestive enzymes. I now rarely, if ever, have digestive issues. I take 1 capsule with each meal and sometimes with my tea before bed. If I opt to indulge in a few glasses of wine, I definitely take a capsule first and guess what? No digestive issues here either! That part is amazing in itself. Point being, for the price, these are a steal and far better then relying on medication.

I've tried many types of digestive enzymes because I seem to be lacking them naturally, and, without a supplement I have terrible GI pain. I used to get my digestive enzymes through a daily Rainbow Light multivitamin, but they changed the formula so I had to look elsewhere. Fortunately they have this Digestive enzyme formula which has been working perfectly for me. I don't take an entire capsule, but instead open it and sprinkle a little in my water before a meal. This has more than done the trick for me and has kept me pain-free, so I can only hope they continue to make it. Other digestive enzymes I've tried haven't worked nearly as well.

Great price, great package, and medicine.

So, for the past year, I've had a really bad gut. Constantly running to the bathroom after eating and waking up at night to use the bathroom when I eat certain foods. This has definitely helped decrease my discomfort. I know they say to take one but I take 2 at a time. When I first used it it didn't work - I realized I was using it the wrong way. You're supposed to take it before or immediately upon taking your first bite of food. Great Product!

These enzymes certainly improved my bowel movements! Certainly I would continue using this product for that reason alone. Its funny this past week I did not use any because I read somewhere that persons with hiatal hernias should not use digestive enzymes. However,The week i took off from them I have has loose watery bowels and explosive diarrhea.
