That said, I really like the shorter whisk too. So, I will just have to order the 9-inch whisk and then I can have the entire set. This whisk is about 7 ¼” long, the tines of the whisk are made from very strong stainless-steel wire, and the grip has a very nice and very much welcomed elastomer over-molding for a great grip upon the tool. I double-checked after I read the other two answers below... Mine is 4 7/8" including the metal attachment cuff. The black part is almost exactly 4 inches long. I find this whisk is really comfortable to use. I am a woman with average size hands. The grip is like the name says, good. **Q: Is this considered a French whisk?** A: This is not a classic French whisk. I have every whisk known to cooks and I find that this sort of hybrid shape works for just about everything.
