Yeah. No. First I tried a little spiral coil deal. The albumen refused to let go. Bounce the thing. Nope. OH, hey, let's place the egg in warm water for a few minutes. Yeah, the yolk now has the ability to slip through the coil. Next was a little tray kind of deal that has slots around the edges and perches on the edge of a container. Took me an hour to find a container that was just the right wall thickness. That one wasn't really that bad but I still had fits trying to get the dadgum albumen to let go. Then the YolkFish swam into my life (aw c'mon, that really wasn't optional). GLORY be, this is IT!!!! Watch the video, you just squeeze the sides, stick the mouth on the yolk, and stop squeezing. The fish gobbles up the yolk. If the albumen tries to hang on, you just rotate the fish onto its side as you're lifting it and it falls right off. Then "spit" the yolk into your mixing bowl. So simple and it works SO WELL!
