Havnt used the Stamdmixer for dough since i bought this. Cooking made easier. Also, shredding meat and blending eggs.

don't understand why this piece doesnt come standard with Cuisinart. Its a must for doughs ! works great but shouldnt have to but this ala carte

Works great. The Cuisinart food processor is so quiet compared to my old one from 20 years ago

I love my dough hook. The dough hook is the reason I bought my food processor. As many people have said, the metal blade can heat up, and heat your dough. I make a lot of pie crust in my food processor. I love that it only takes about 2 minutes to make pie dough, which includes weighing out the ingredients. It is simple to use. I don't use my food processor to shred or anything else. Now I can make perfect pie dough, puff pastry, and so much more.

good for dough and other recipes where you don't want to use the sharp chopping blade

I bought a dough blade for my new cuisinart food processor on 2/21. Unfortunately I didn't try to use it for the first time until 3/31 and found out at that time that it did not fit my new machine. I also noted at that time the limit on the return date was 3/24. I assumed I must have put the wrong model number in when I ordered it so decided to bite the bullet and order it again. However, even though I had the model number the order site asked for the series number. The series number I found in the manual was not listed on amazons list so there was no way I could be sure I would not get the wrong blade again so I have given up, I will check with Cuisinart to see if I can get one from them.

Fits like OEM, and works well

While you can use the Cuisinart metal blades for dough, this one is a must if you need blades that don't heat. These are perfect when you need to knead the dough a long time. I would advise be very careful when you buy this attachment to be sure it really fits the model of food processor you have. In the `Frequently Bought Together` I have seen blades that don't actually fit the specific processor model shown.
