The media could not be loaded. Been a few years since I played games like Snakes and Ladders and Ludo. Wanted to start playing it again, particularly considering the times we’re in currently. After some searching around, I came across this beautiful looking wooden Snakes and Ladders by Jaques. Fitted the bill perfectly.The game comes in this really nice cardboard box. Protected by the decorative paper that covers the wooden game board. A nice touch. You’ve also got a plastic bag containing the dice and counters, a meshed carrier bag and some instructions for the games. You also get this nice little note from Jaques.The game board has both Snakes and Ladders and Ludo. 2 games in one! Snakes and Ladders on one side. Ludo on the other. As some reviewers do point out though, the print out of both Snakes and Ladders, plus Ludo, is on a large sticker that has been stuck down on the wooden board. It may have perhaps been preferable for the graphics and images of both games to have been printed directly onto the wooden board itself. Personally though, this doesn’t bother me. It’s still a wonderful looking Ludo, and Snakes and Ladders. And it’s done to a high finish. (I appreciate though, that this may be a bother for some, especially for those where there has been noticeable air bubbles etc underneath the stickers of both their Jaques games).I love the fact also that with Snakes and Ladders, it has upto 144 squares (if you count the ‘Game’ square at the end!) meaning for some rather long Snakes and Ladders sessions. A lot of charm and detail with both the ladders and the snakes. Although the board looks a touch on the small side - size dimensions roughly 30cm by 30cm - it’s quite easy to follow where to go. Generally, the Snakes and Ladders is well numbered. And I think there is just the right amount of snakes and ladders on the board without making it feel too cramped. The Ludo board is nicely laid out too, and clear!Already had a couple of gaming sessions with the Snakes and Ladders, and looking forward to giving Ludo a spin sometime, too. I’m very impressed with these games. Honestly would say this is the best Snakes and Ladders I’ve bought. Not often you come across a Snakes and Ladders that has more than 100 squares on it. I feel like Jaques has put a lot of thought and charm into these board game’s. The fact that this Snakes and Ladders comes with Ludo is a nice bonus and I think helps makes the slightly steep price seem worth it. If you’re looking for Snakes and Ladders, or a combination of that with Ludo, I doubt you’d probably find anything much better than this.

The quality of the board is A1. Love it, will last for many years.

I bought this game for my Father who is now living in a nursing home. He has enjoyed playing on it although the numbers are quite small, snakes and ladders side, and the direction of play is not obvious. But it is a nice product, I like that it is wood, it does have the laminate finish, so not sure how long that will last.

Lovely old fashioned game made from wood therefore it should last for years. Easy for younger children to use and enjoy also by adults. Good value, well painted and not heavy. Bright colours for younger children. Would recommend.

A real fun for the family, suitable for all ages, by my opinion something that you have to have in every home. Really cool look and design. Great value for the money!

It's a good game, well produced
