My 11 year old is now trying to seriously decide whether the 'oscilloscope' principle is best served for engineers or doctors.. and therefore what she should become when she grows up :-) Absolutely love it!! That is less expensive...** A: If you read the description, this item has a student guide and curriculum for educators, broken down for teachers, plus additional components that come with the 500 and other sub kits that are not included in the standard 750 kit. As an educator, this additional material is well worth it. Include the addition to the additional components and it's obvious this is as superior package **Q: The pictures shpw 5 project books, a Student Guide and a Teacher's Guide. Are these actually included?** A: All of the books shown are included. However, I would say it is a stretch to say it is 750 experiments. So many are slight variations on a theme. For example: To light the 7 segment LED display, it is a different experiment for each number 0 through 9. Really it just changing the jumpers to light the appropriate segments for each number. **Q: Does this item contain a complete set of Snap Circuit's electronic components? If not, what is it missing? What should I buy in addition?** A: This is a complete set, except for the more fancy add on kits like light. The only thing I bought separately was the AC plug so I wouldn't have to use batteries all the time. It really is a cool way to learn some electronics. **Q: What are some of the most fascinating things you can imagine doing with this kit?** A: We've just scratched the surface of its capabilities, since my kids are only 4 & 6. Haven't gotten to the computer enabled features yet. Snap Circuits Extreme and the simpler Snap Circuits Green were huge hits at elementary school science night. Great feature is that kids start by building the book's projects, but then build the confidence to create their own designs, and to test the impacts of substituting in other parts (e.g., how the sound diminishes as a stronger resistor is used).
