This is an improvement over the factory provided filter since it includes not only a similar activated carbon filter but also a HEPA 13+ filter, made to fit into the same space s the OEM filter. This will greatly reduce odors in addition to the VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds), toxins and particulate and removal upgrade from the HEPA portion of the filter.
