I shopped around and found lots of compression pads, and large pads for sports, but theses are somewhere between the two. These fit great under a fleece or sweater and no one knows you have them on. The gell is perfect for protecting against bumps. Great protection. I bought large which were a smidge too big for my arms, but since I wanted protection and not compression that worked out great.I have only had theses, in the winter, and your arms do sweat under them, so they probably wont be good in hot weather. Not much you can do about the gell portion not breathing.Regardless I love theses and just ordered another set. Great price and value for the money.
