I have the grey National Geographic tumbler kit. Came with the small barrel that holds roughly a cup. This one is of the same build and quality. Seems about 3x the size. I don’t think you could go any bigger and still fit on the machine.

Great replacement for the tumbler that came with my NG kit. It seems to be better suited for the unit - it APPEARS to move faster - I MAY be wrong, but it somehow gets the job done more quickly on cleaning beads (about 20 mins). Love it

I needed a replacement barrel for my rock tumbler set up.. I was hoping for a bigger barrel but when I saw the outrageous prices that folks were charging I was discussed at the greed of some people. your price was how ever reasonable so I ordered it. I am glad to say I have for a 2 pound tumbler it is excellent I am thinking once I get the rest of my things set up again I will get another one. I have a young lad down the street that wants to get into this hobby.. I have several small tumbler machines but no drums for them. I will surly order my drums from you again. I got this as a spare for my National Geographic tumbler. It's much smaller than the original, but it still works (although it spins at a faster rate due to the smaller size). It's really sturdy and I'm very pleased with it. It's handy for smaller batches.

Once I have finished steps 1 and 2 with the heavier grits, the rock load is reduced quite a bit so this smaller size is perfect for the polishing stages. It works perfectly on the National Geo tumbler I have and the lid seals great. So far it's held up really well but if it tanks, I'll come back and say so in an update. So far so good.

I bought these as replacement barrels for a Thumler Tumbler. They are perfect and work awesome. The original barrels that came with the Thumler were not leak proof. A very tight O ring held the lids in place and not a nut that screwed on. I ended up with a huge mess. Not even a week into tumbling. So I searched for leak proof barrels that looked similar and found Dr. Cool. They work fantastic. They hold a little less but it is barely noticeable. I highly recommend them.

I liked it because it is the same depth but smaller in diameter. I got it to use for stage 3 & 4. For two reasons, this stage of your tumble your rocks are a lot smaller so smaller tumbler means don’t need to put in a lot of filler to get your 2/3 reds full. And it also means the grit from stages 1 & 2 is a lot heavier so for a better finish using a cleaner tumbler that has not been used with these grits. By using the smaller tumbler only for stage 3 & 4 will give a better shine
