Just rub the powder and it becomes loose, tap the brush to knock off excess powder, then just stroke on the grey or balding area. You can rub in with your fingers and it won't come off, it will only come off when you wash your hair. My son loves it, I've put a before and after photo of his hair. I definitely recommend this, I got the Dark Brown, and that would do do for someone with mid to very dark brown, alter the amount you put on. I also use a blusher brush to give a softer more natural look, as the small brush may leave lines if you're not careful. Fantastic quality and brilliant price!
