It is just command strips. It is very sturdy and can hold ALOT of head bands and weight. I've hand mine up for a long time now and no issues. It looks great and takes up minimal space compared to other ear holders. It was easy to install and finally gave me a practical solution for my daughters’ headbands. My 4yo and 2yo can choose the one(s) they want and put them away independently. The two drawbacks I have- 1. It seems like a lot of money for a glorified piece of plastic. That being said, I couldn’t find one for less and it did solve my problem, so I guess they have the market cornered! 2. I would suggest adding end pieces of some sort to keep headbands from falling out on the ends. I have found that some of the thicker ones stay at the end just fine, but thinner ones are easily knocked crooked/off. I’m not sure if anyone else has had that problem.Again, overall a great purchase and I would recommend over any of the other headband storage we have tried!
