I don't plan on riding in the rain** A: I believe leather conditioner keeps the leather soft and supple. The Obenauf's is a leather preservative and it's purpose is to protect the leather from various environmental elements that can damage the leather. It will work great for your leather vest because when you wear it when you ride, it is exposed to the air, the road grime, the pollution, the sun etc. **Q: Has anyone used this on leather auto seats? I used it on my boots and loved it, but I do not want to change the color of my MIata seats.** A: I used it in my Yukon with good results just use a little as automotive seat leather has a clear protective coating. Also, never use a cleaner/conditioner product. There is no such thing as the cleaner will still be there and will dry out your leather. It has to be one apart from the other . **Q: how's this stuff for fine dress shoes?** A: Black or very dark brown dress shoes that you choose to wear in the rain. Otherwise find a good leather conditioner that is known to not darken leather. There are more than one on the market that are not supposed to. I have some very light leather and Bick 4 has not darkened them. Let's also has a product that is not supposed to darken too. Always test an in conspicuous area, especially if you own a fine dress shoe.
