Both BD-1800 (silver blade) and BD-2000 (black blade) are 30 degree blades that made of high quality carbon tool steel. BD-2000 (black blade) has an extra process called ‘Bluing Process’ that gives an oxide coating with blue/black appearance and protects from rusting. With even more steps taken during the finishing process, the cutting edge of BD-2000 (black blade) has even finer sharpness than BD-1800 (silver blade). BD-2000 (black blade) is recommended for professional use only due to its fine delicate edge.
