In addition (and very important), medical research has discovered that 3gms daily (= 3 scoops of this Nutricost product) helps reduce and mitigate muscle atrophy in older/senior/elderly and/or less mobile adults who cannot exercise. **Q: Can this powder be added to coffee instead of water?** A: I don’t know if heat effects it but I add it to my coffee along with collagen powder and just use a cheap battery stick frother to mix it up. That works fine for me. **Q: can anyone tell me if this works the same or better than BHB?** A: Bhb is a different type of compound. Bhb are ketones(yes keto diet ketones) so they have a different effect. Hbm is a metabolite of leucine, and amino acid, that helps in muscle synthesis. Bhb is created in our bodies to burn fat when fasting or when low on glucose/carbs for energy. I had to swap weights around because some of the things I was doing stopped topping out at a low level. I think this and creatine have worked well to help build more muscle. I’ll say, it is bitter so I combine it with allulose and creatine and drink and then later I’ll mix more in with my protein powder to overpower the bitterness Smells like body odor. Seriously. It’s gaggle if you aren’t paying attention and take a big whiff. Hard to get into the container. Took forever to find the tiny 1gr scoop. Powder gets everywhere. But those are minor compared to the perceived benefits.
