Be sure to get multi minerals to take because this removes everything in the water and I mean everything. **Q: How often is filter changed?** A: The frequency of filter changes are based on volume of use. We have three different filter systems and each requires changing at different rates. Our high volume is roughly 3 to 4 weeks based on our well water purification requirements. The more substance in the water the faster the filter will require changing. **Q: How long would 1 filter last in Los Angeles** A: We have a 12 cup Zero Water pitcher and use it for everything we eat and drink. We change the filter approximately every two months.
