Review: When I first opened the box, I thought "Holy crap, what did I get myself into!!!" In spite of looking like a jenga game, it is very simple to put together. I didn't use glue, 'cause here in east Texas, it melts in the summer and makes a heck of a nasty mess. I haven't used the nails yet, I'll finish that tomorrow. I will drill pilot holes, so I don't split the wood. I was extremely skeptical about buying this online. I must say I am very pleased with it!! Absolutely excellent quality, very well made. I wish I'd gotten my entire hive from them, I would've stained it instead of painting, this box is very nice looking! I will buy from these folks again when it's time to add another box (or, over the grumblings of my not-so-enthusiastic husband, another hive....). If you want a quality product at a decent price, this is it!! Review: Surprisingly really good quality for a product from China. The joints fit perfectly, no issues whatsoever. I've bought them twice now, for a total of seven of these kits. The only downside is that the frames are not pre-waxed. I usually add more wax anyways, so this was not much of an issue for me. Make sure to pre-drill holes to avoid splitting. Should be pretty easy. Simply construct the jar frame holder with the same outer dimensions of the inner lid with, the appropriate depth to hold the appropriate size mason jar. Langstroth hive dimensions can be found online; as well as a video on constructing a mason jar setup for the boxes. Technically, you should be able to do this with Warre hives as well. **Q: Is this a honey super or a deep box (hive body)?** A: I received a 10 frame deep box with frames and I waxed foundation. I am very pleased with it. Went together well and is working well. You will need to wax the foundation for the bees to want to draw it out. **Q: What is the foundation made of? All the cuts and finish are great. Smells like cedar. The price was good. It came with all the hardware and with instructions for beginners. All and all, I'm well pleased.
