In spite of that, I have always wanted good quality, low noise with enough power to vibrate the walls occasionally and to make an orchestra sound like one. In all these respects I can say that the NAD316BEE gives me the best reproduction I have ever had from an amplifier. Along with the Warfedale 10.1's I bought recently I am perfectly happy with the sound I am getting. I can hear higher frequencies than I thought was possible due to age-related high-end drop off (in myself, that is). I value having access to balance and bass and treble controls (don't grumble, I said I wasn't a hi-fi type). Th only two things that niggle slightly and not enough to cost a star are, the remote is a bit useless in range and if you want to change input channel on startup you have to wait while the amp gets going before it will change input, which can lead to unexpected and potentially deafening blasts of sound when the volume has been turned up prematurely. But I can live with those small points as the rest of the package is so good. Review: Truly excellent amp! - The best 'budget' amplifier that you can get... absolutely and without a doubt! Its distinguished NAD lineage is clear. This is pure NAD. And awesome for it! It's also very stylish, in that super-understated NAD way. Looks and sounds much more expensive than it actually is.
