It works exactly as I had hoped! When it's just me at home, the table looks like a nice window shelf with a few vases and flowers on it. Then, when I have guests over, I simply extend it out, put the chairs out, and have a full banquet-sized table, ready for use.CONSThe only major issue I have with this table is the manufacturer's choice to make it glossy. For a table that is designed to be manipulated on a regular basis, the gloss finish is just a bad choice. The table scratches easily and is a massive dust magnet. Every little thing that gets on the table will scream at you. My recommendation is to clean this table before every use, otherwise the small smudges and dust just completely kill the effect this table is trying to create. Invest in a nice tablecloth and the scratches will not be an issue, though this means you'll need to put the table cloth on each time you extend the table out and put the table cloth away after each time you collapse the table.
