What I mean is that a jam pot covers needs above all else to shrink as it dries to form a perfect seal to keep the jam fresh. To use these you need to apply first the waxed side of the paper disks to the hot jam, this forms a slight and utterly unnoticeable waxy skin over the jam to protect it; then the cellophane cover is wetted on one side only before being placed and stretched dry side down over the jar of hot jam. It is pressed down over the edges where it sticks nicely while you put an elastic band in place. As it dried and the jam cools, a tight seal forms that protects the jam. These covers do the job perfectly. Review: Poor value - Very poor value. The labels are rubbish.
