## Description

The Rapace GTX is a lightweight summer mountaineering boot that teams a hard-wearing nubuck and fabric upper with waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX protection. Secure grip meets comfort and support – SALEWA’s solution for via ferratas and summer mountaineering. The Rapace GTX features our 3F System for ankle support, flexibility and a perfect fit. Its Vibram Wrapping Thread Combi (WTC) outsole has an aggressive tread pattern that gives good traction, yet provides a natural feel and secure grip on rock. Inside the boot, SALEWA’s Bilight technology in the midsole ensures an ergonomic hold and long-lasting cushioning for extended comfort. The Rapace GTX is also stiff enough for use with hybrid/semi-automatic crampons. In addition, the GORE-TEX Performance Comfort lining delivers optimized climate comfort should the weather close in on you and there’s a full rubber rand for protection against rock and scree.

Review: Very good boots - Bought a bunch of equipment for a recent trip to New Zealand and these were probably the best purchase. They broke in quickly, are extremely durable and completely waterproof. Only time they got wet was when water came in through the top during stream crossings, hardly a design flaw. Tread is good on snow and the boots worked well with semiautomatic crampons. Would definitely recommend.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wrong size recieved.
*by C***. on 2 January 2023*

I ordered a 42 and got a 43. Blisters guaranteed. I love the boot but wearing something too big would feel like wearing clown shoes. Now i gotta pay to return something that is the seller's error. Nice service.
