Really love this mayo. Super tasty. Weird soft plastic bottle, but it makes it easier to get every drop of mayo out - so no wastage!

Won’t use any other Mayo but it’s getting expensive which is upsetting was a good price before it going up in price recently. Need a new bottle never buying any supermarket mayo’s now since this Mayo kewpie Mayo all the way yummy

I went for 3 stars because I’m in the middle. The ingredients aren’t the same as advertised, which is disappointing. I wanted to try the MSG thing. But it’s mayo, and I love mayo. So I’ll probably try it later

I've heard the hype about Kewpie Mayonnaise for years, and after finally trying it, I can confidently say it lives up to every bit of it. This isn't your average mayo and although I do appreciate the well-known brands, Kewpie is rich, creamy, and has a uniquely savory flavor thanks to the use of egg yolks and rice vinegar. It adds a subtle umami punch that takes everything from sandwiches to sushi to the next level. I’ve used it in potato salads, as a dip base, tuna sandwiches, and my absolute favorite way is drizzled over poke bowls and it never disappoints. The squeeze bottle is super convenient too; no mess, just a smooth, controlled pour every time. If you’re looking for a mayo upgrade or want to try a staple of Japanese cuisine, give Kewpie a shot. Once you taste it, it’s hard to go back to anything else. Highly recommend!

Ich habe die Kewpie-Mayo immer auf Sushi oder in asiatischen Restaurants gegessen und wollte sie mir jetzt endlich mal für zu Hause gönnen. Man muss ehrlich sein: Wer bisher nur die klassische deutsche Supermarkt-Mayo (egal ob Thomy, Homann und wie sie alle heißen) gewohnt ist, wird hier im ersten Moment vielleicht überrascht sein. Die Kewpie ist extrem cremig und hat eine richtig gelbliche Farbe, weil wohl nur Eigelb und keine ganzen Eier verwendet werden. Der Geschmack ist viel runder, leicht säuerlich (ich glaube, das kommt vom Reisessig) und hat vor allem diese geniale Umami-Note. Sie ist einfach nicht so stumpf fettig wie unsere normale Majo. Ein kleines Detail am Rande: Die Flasche ist beim ersten Auspacken etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Sie ist in einer durchsichtigen Tüte verpackt und die Flasche selbst besteht aus sehr weichem, fast schon schrumpeligem Plastik. Wenn man den roten Schraubdeckel komplett abdreht, hat man darunter eine kleine Sterntülle – perfekt, um diese typischen feinen Mayo-Streifen über Sushi, Okonomiyaki oder Poke Bowls zu ziehen. Klar, der Preis für so eine Flasche ist eigentlich Wahnsinn und tut schon etwas weh. Aber ich nutze sie auch nicht, um einen riesigen Kartoffelsalat für die Grillparty anzumachen, sondern eher gezielt als Topping für asiatische Gerichte, Sandwiches oder mal zu richtig guten Pommes. Dafür lohnt sie sich meiner Meinung nach absolut. Wer asiatisches Essen liebt, muss das Zeug einfach im Kühlschrank haben.
