Let Every Breath You Take Be an Act of Worship Worship is more than singing on Sunday morning. While thatโs part of it, worship is the essence of what makes us truly human. God sparked this desire within our hearts from the day He first breathed life into Adam and Eve. Since then, every single human who has walked this planet has participated in this God-given ability, and divine quest. While many have squandered their gift, there are those who find the wonder-filled life of communion with God no matter the time or place. True freedom comes when worship flows through us as naturally as the air we breathe, when the words and actions in our lives resonate with our Creator so deeply that every inhalation is full of meaning. When we understand the holiness of the God who knows the stars by nameโand His overwhelming love for each one of usโhow can we offer anything less? In The Air I Breathe , Louie Giglio explains in passionate prose what it means to truly live a life of worship, offering insight and guidance for finding our personal path towards connecting with the God of the Universe. Review: Just what a person needs. - Giglio lays out the beauty of worship and why it's so important to every Christian. Worship is indeed the air we breathe. We are made for worship and will find comfort and peace in giving God what he deserves! (Giglio quotes a lot of scripture in the book. The references to those scriptures are at the end of the book - FYI) Review: The Air I Breathe is a Must Read - Louie Giglio's book, The Air I Breathe, describes worship as a part of everyday life. We worship the things we value and get excited about. The god that we worship is evident from how we spend our time and money. At the end of every trail blazed by our time and money is a throne and on that throne is the "god" we worship. But, is the god we worship worthy of our praise? This is the primary question that Giglio raises. I was drawn to Giglio's book the moment that I learned that he organized the Passion conference--an annual conference of Christian musicians. This conference has generated numerous CDs of praise music. The Best of Passion CD is one of my favorites. The text for Giglio's books is Acts 17--Paul's visit to Mars hill. It is one the Bible's clearest statement of faith and the audience is a gathering of Greek intellectuals--agnostics. Paul notices that they have a statute where they worship an "unknown god". He then explains Christ as that unknown god. Giglio's book is addressed to moderns and post-moderns who do not believe in God and do not think that they need God. It is short and very readable. I found The Air I Breathe an inspiration. My have already lent my copy to a friend and have begun giving copies to people that I care about. I suspect that this book has brought people, especially teens, to faith in Christ. I highly recommend it. Stephen

Breaking Worship Free from Music
The Air I Breathe, by Louie Giglio, brings worship from the realm of on-stage musicians to the realm of real life. According to the author, his reason for writing this book was to clear up some of the confusion surrounding what worship is and to give us a good knowledge of how worship impacts our everyday life. The author did a fantastic job at making his main point of what worship is, by giving us his definition early on and then basing each of the subsequent chapters on different pieces of that definition while reminding us of the whole. I found the chapter length easy to digest and the content quite enjoyable. Overall, I recommend this book for understanding the importance of worship in our daily lives. As the author states, โall of us are worshipersโ and this book helps us to see the importance of choosing what or who we give our worship to.

I am very glad I read this book
I really liked this little book with its deep insights. Louie lays it on the line just like Dylan did when he wrote You Gotta Serve Somebody. Well, we all worship and as the author states we were designed to worship BUT it who or what we worship, That is the question. I found his insights quite stirring, thought provoking and challenging. I also like his definition of worship and his observations of how and what people worship besides GOD. I found most refreshing his heart for GOD and his life of continuous worship. It opened my eyes to how I can worship GOD in all that I do except in sin. Come to think of it I really liked this book and I am going to change my rating from a 4 to a 5. GOD bless and be blessed get this book and begin to see with the eyes of GOD. JB

Read this book!
I had never heard of Louie Giglio before reading this book. As I was searching for books to put on my Kindle I found this one. The minute I read the first few sentences, I could tell this was going to be an inspiring book and it did not disappoint. I noticed myself being more aware of worship - or the ability to worship - in everyday things. There is so much in this world that we overlook or take for granted. We all worship something, be it money, work, sex, drugs, friendships - the list goes on. Giglio makes the point in his book that worshipping God is not meant for one hour on Sundays. It is a daily walk and we must be mindful of what we do worship. It's easy to fall into a pattern of idolizing and grabbing at worldly things. This book has changed the way I view the world, view my Creator, view Christ's sacrifice, and view the why, when, how and whats of worship. Please take note when considering this book that the Kindle edition has 4-1/2 stars (before my review) with 2 votes; notice that the hardback edition has 5 stars after 56 reviews. I admit there are some errors with the transfer to the Kindle, but the content is what counts and you definitely get that! I cannot recommend it more strongly for any Christian wanting to go to a new level of praising the Creator! You can bet I'll be reading more Giglio soon!

Worship=All of Life
This is great little book that helps us dive deeper into what worship actually means. It's amazing to see Giglio show that we're all worshipers of something or someone...even if we don't realize it. When we direct our worship to God (our ascribing worth to God in everything we do), He gets more glory and we are joyfully satisfied in Him (Piper anybody?). I highly recommend this book. I'm reading through it with a college worship leader training group that I lead. It's short and easy to read, making it a joy to read instead of feeling like homework from church (alongside their already heavy workload in school!). While it may be written in an easy-to-read style, the concepts held within will challenge your everyday life immensely. Worship Him with all your life!

Great Book About Worship
This is a wonderful devotional approach to why we worship and what worship is all about. Louie Giglio gives many reasons to worship. He helps us to understand why it is important for everyone. I love the summaries in the back of the book. I also love the quotes. The questions for study was very helpful. This is a well put together book

A Fresh Breathe of Air
What I love about Louie is his manner of speaking. It's as though sitting at a table with him having a conversation. His description of Godly worship develops a polaroid that anyone with eyes can clearly understand. He offers truth that leads to a relationship with Christ and what else really matters? An easy read well worth your time!

Excellent little book.
When I first looked at it, it seemed that everything worthwhile was said in the first chapter, and that from there on it was just going to be filler material. But I was wrong. The book was very thought-provoking, and made me understand what worship really is or should be. We unconsciously worship all manner of things and people, but do we lead God-focused worshipful lives? We ended up using the book over about 5 weeks in our Bible study, to tackle the whole topic of worship and it was very challenging in light of all our deficiencies. Recommended.
