Review: Expensive but well made - There are many many many less expensive options but you can see the difference in the leather used. The pockets are great for some cards. It comes with a couple Bellroy branded notebooks but will fit Field Notes. They slide in for a tight fit so there's no concern of anything slipping out. There is a little dip in the binding for your pen which is nice though I would have liked more of one to allow for different pens without the tip sticking through.
Review: Bellroy Was Here - I really like this wallet. I was carrying two field notes earlier on, one for each side pocket, but decided to stick to just one and found it easier to access my cards and cash organized this way. I've tried a few different ones so far and this card orientation is the best, it doesn't create a weird wedge shape from vertically stacked cards and is nice and flat but still flexible. I'm getting some intense creasing on the fold but it seems fine closed and so far it's holding together well despite being made of fairly thin leather. I will update my review in a year or so, if I remember, on how well it's held up with time (the ultimate test.)

There are many many many less expensive options but you can see the difference in the leather used. The pockets are great for some cards. Bellroy products are high quality and made to last. I’ve had a Bellroy leather wallet for years that has developed a beautiful patina and I can’t wait for this notebook cover to do the same. Field notes fit perfectly in this. A normal pen will also fit nicely inside and clipped to the spine. The magnetic clasp is useful for keeping everything tidy and together.
