Then, you would add to your measurement based on your riding style/position on the bike. For a very aggressive trials type rider, you would add 0 to the measurement to get the size, for a road rider spending most of the time in the drops, you would add 1cm to the measurement, for a mountain bike rider/trekking/touring/road rider spending a split time between the hoods and the drops, add 2cm. Just make sure you measure your sit bones to get the correct size. I have the $200 SQlab seat on my mountain bike and have been very happy with it so I went for the less expensive one the Ebike. It has a similar "active "technology and the correct width for my sit bones.
