It’s a great choice for your next home improvement project. Plus, WhisperTech is 9X quieter and up to 35% more efficient than legacy, non-inverter window ac units. The 8,000 BTU AC with WhisperTech quietly cools spaces up to 350 sq ft. - The Easiest Room Air Conditioner Installation Kit: We've pre-assembled the install kit of our smart air conditioner for you, so it's ready to go right out of the box. For extra help, we've also included a simple-to-follow install guide so that set-up is a breeze. - Efficient Cooling: The top vents blow air up and out into the room at the perfect angle and not into your face, unlike other window air conditioner units. Our wall ac unit’s angle provides better airflow and uses a refrigerant that's less detrimental to the environment than what's commonly used. - Control Your Small Room Air Conditioner Anywhere, Anytime: The Windmill AC can be integrated into any smart home and can be controlled with your smartphone for easier access. Turn your Windmill air conditioner on 10 minutes before you get home on a blazing hot day and shut it off remotely in case you forget. Our small ac unit can also be controlled by voice control using any voice assistant device. - 60 Years of AC Expertise: We at Windmill believe in beautiful, simple technology, better urban living, good quality air, and offering the best support our customers deserve. Combining a fresh, modern perspective with 60 years of AC expertise, we started Windmill and built a quality unit with today’s needs in mind. - Capacity: 2.0 cubic_feet - Noise Level: 42.0 decibels - Wattage: 690.0 watts - Voltage: 115.0 volts ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0C4WFLF75 | | Air Conditioner Application | Residential Indoor | | Annual Energy Consumption | 690 Watts | | BEE Star Rating | 5 Star | | Best Sellers Rank | 1,705,063 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 788 in Evaporative Coolers | | Brand Name | Windmill | | Capacity | 0.67 tons | | Colour | White | | Compressor Type | Inverter | | Control Method | Touch | | Controller Type | App Control, Voice Control, Remote Control, Button Control | | Cooling Power | 8000 British Thermal Units | | Customer Reviews | 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars (218) | | Efficiency | High | | Filter Type | Standard filter | | Floor Area | 350 Square Feet | | Form Factor | Window | | Included Components | Remote Control | | Installation Type | Window | | Inverter Type | Has Inverter | | Is Electric | No | | Is Outdoor Unit Required | No | | Is Product Cordless | No | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 57.2D x 49W x 33.8H centimetres | | Item Type Name | airconditioner | | Item Weight | 61 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Windmill | | Model Name | 8000 BTU WhisperTech | | Model Number | 08W2Wi | | Noise | 40 Decibels | | Number of Power Levels | 1 | | Operating Mode | Cooling | | Outdoor Unit Compatibility | Requires New Outdoor Unit | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Refrigerant | R-32 | | Room Type | Bedroom | | Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) | 15 | | Special Features | Portable, Remote Controlled | | UPC | 860003069523 | | Warranty Type | Limited | | Wattage | 690 watts | | Window Opening Maximum Height | 13.3 Inches | | Window Opening Maximum Width | 19.3 Inches | | Window Opening Minimum Width | 19.3 Inches | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Windmill - **Capacity:** 0.67 tons - **Colour:** White - **Cooling power:** 8000 British Thermal Units - **Filter type:** Standard filter - **Noise level:** 40 Decibels - **Product dimensions:** 57.2D x 49W x 33.8H centimetres - **Refrigerant:** R-32 - **Seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER):** 15 - **Special feature:** Portable, Remote Controlled ## Images ![Windmill 8,000 BTU Quiet Window Air Conditioner, Cools up to 250-350 sq ft - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31oK101ECsL.jpg) ![Windmill 8,000 BTU Quiet Window Air Conditioner, Cools up to 250-350 sq ft - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51Jo+CngYJL.jpg) ![Windmill 8,000 BTU Quiet Window Air Conditioner, Cools up to 250-350 sq ft - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/417DvWBSMQL.jpg) ![Windmill 8,000 BTU Quiet Window Air Conditioner, Cools up to 250-350 sq ft - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41HLP7v6fWL.jpg) ![Windmill 8,000 BTU Quiet Window Air Conditioner, Cools up to 250-350 sq ft - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51Q7xGYWvdL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Why isn't my unit getting cold?** A: I had the same problem with one of the units I ordered a couple of weeks ago. The first one I installed last week works great but the second one ended up just blowing warm air. I contacted the company via email (only way to engage them) last Friday evening to initiate support/return. I didn't expect them to answer over the weekend so I decided to initiate the return/replacement with Amazon. Windmillair actually responded to me multiple times over the weekend to offer help. They expressed their concern that they are having shipping channel distribution problems with carriers damaging the internals of the units. Bottom line - your unit is most likely damaged like mine was. Contact the company as soon as you can to initiate a replacement, their customer service is outstanding. **Q: Is this Energy Star Rated?** A: Hi Christopher S., Thank you for your question, and we appreciate your interest in Windmill Air. Our units test at 12 EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) / 11.9 CEER (Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio). Energy Star is 12 CEER. We are obviously very close to this standard, and we do a lot of other things that make us more eco-friendly, like using a better refrigerant, allowing customers to shut off their units remotely through our app, and helping to offset the carbon emissions of every AC purchased. My area gets bad from fire smoke.** A: Hi Lorene Quist, Thank you for reaching out, and we appreciate your interest in Windmill Air. The AC circulates, conditions, and cleans the air inside your room. It does not pull in outdoor air. So, you will be fine to run the AC during these tough times if you properly install and insulate your windows. We hope you'll find this answer helpful!
