It is used to tone blonde hair white.If you want lavender, mix this with conditioner until the dye is the color you like. What you see is what you get. Its like paint.The color you get depends on how light her hair is. The lighter the hair, the more true to the purple itll be.Also, if you leave it on overnight, it might as well be permanent. Its been 3 months since i left some in for 11 hours, and it never came out. But half an hour will wash out right away. An hour or two will last a week or two. **Q: Does this product work on dark brown hair? I don't want to bleach. Is this color a pink-purple or blue-purple? Looking for deep blue/purple highlights** A: For blue/purple, I recommend Shocking Blue, because it fades from dark blue to dark purple to light purple to pink ~ my hair's been practically pigment free for a while, since I've been dying it so long, and different sections of your hair will fade at different speeds, it's pretty cool. Anyway, I think - especially with heat - it will take to dark hair pretty well, maybe tint it. But i would recommend getting 20 volume developer and the gentlest/weakest bleach you can find, and then washing it out after about 10 minutes, just to lighten it a shade or two. You can also use violet developer, which will pull the brassy yellow tones out of your hair and leave you with a cool auburn-type color. Definitely use heat, too, and don't wash your hair with hot water for a week.
