But why not use a standard light switch? You must make sure the circuit is wired to activate the indicator correctly. **Q: I have a light switch with just a live and earth in and live out when switched on. Is this suitable as a replacement?** A: This switch is rated at 20 amp, normally lighting circuits require only 5 amp switches, it is also double pole in other words it switches the neutral as well which is unnecessary for switching domestic lighting circuits. What you require is is a single pole 5 amp switch. **Q: Is this suitable to use with a storage heater? TIA** A: No, this is not suitable because it is not fused. You require a fused switched spur. **Q: I bought this switch because it says it is 2-way; in fact it is 1-way and double pole. Can it be wired as a 2-way switch and will the neon work?** A: The short answer is no it can't be wired as a two way as it's a double pole switch and no the neon will not work as it needs a neutral wire to make it work.
