I have a newer Maytag washer, and for some reason, Maytag did not include an access port/door to clean the drain filter, so you have to disassemble the front of the washer to access it (as per Maytag’s own instructions). After watching a few videos of people who cut holes in the front of the sheet metal to access the filter, I did the same, and then used this to cover the hole. The spring loaded arms allow me to install and remove it easily by hand. Easily painted to match my ceiling. Sturdy.
