Unlike other walkers, the U-Step has a solid welded base that does not wiggle, so you will feel very secure when walking. The majority of the weight of the U-Step is in the base, which provides you with a low center of gravity for greater stability. In addition, the “U” shaped base surrounds you and braces you in every direction from falling. You feel as stable as you would feel holding onto another person’s arm. A: I do.not know the answer to this question and suggest a call to company.  They are extremely helpful!

**Q: elderly mom has 1 six inch step she needs to get up or down from, Can she lift this safely?**
A: This is a hard question to answer.  It depends on your mother's strength.  The walker is very light; however, my wife cannot lift it so I help her with any step up or down.  Other people might be able to lift it.  I depends on the individual and their condition.
