The UreaTabs are much easier to take than alternative products for those who need this remedy
Excellent product. I will better be able to evaluate its effectiveness after my lab test results come back, but it is MUCH easier to tolerate than the powder. The pills are a little large, but are not too difficult to swallow if you put them in ice cream or yogurt, cottage cheese or some other like solid food, or take them with a liquid. They have no taste - contrary to the powder, which has a horrible taste no matter how it’s taken - and can also be cut into a smaller size with a knife or a pill cutter. If someone needs this product, I’d choose this over the powder 10,000 percent of of the time!

Great product!
Our nephrologist recommended this for my mom. We mix the tablets in sugarfree Gatorade and keep it in the fridge. She takes it daily with no complaints and her sodium has been stable since we started it. Easy to use and store, no taste, and very effective. Insurance doesn’t cover the cost of this, but it’s a lot less expensive than a medical co-pay!

Tastes less bad, but multiple HUGE pills
My husband HATED the powder, so I though this would be a good alternative, as did his doctor. Be warned however, the typical dose for urea powder is 15g and that translated to 8 BIG pills and he had to take it 2x a day, so 16 pills total. A good alternative if you can't tolerate the powder, but not so if you are multiple BIG pills averse.

Increase serum sodium
The nephrologist recommended urea. It has been amazing in decreasing my need for a fluid limit and supplemental salt tablets. It’s the first time in years I’ve had a sodium that was in a normal range. Thank goodness for urea tablets.

MISLEADING DESCRIPTION! Do not purchase this product for low sodium if you need sodium! If you search for sodium supplement for Hypoatremia this comes up. THEY WILL NOT ALLOW A RETURN OUT $70+ bucks

Exorbitant Price
It is a slow and gentle way to correct hyponatremia(low sodium levels) in the elderly. Low sodium is a serious health problem and can even lead to fatality. Its very very expensive. So, this loses a star or two. I know lot people can't afford it. Another downside is, its a large tablet some older filks may have difficulty swallowing
