He has had small inkjets but they still take up quite a bit of space and need a place to plug them in. Plus a place store the sheets of paper. This printer is rechargeable which is awesome. No plugs at all. No ink to buy. The rolls of paper are small and the case holds 4 extra rolls. It only prints in black and white, which is all he needs, and it comes out on paper like the old school facsimile paper. Down side is the paper comes out rolled up and you have to flatten it out. But that is really the only drawback. My husband loves the compact carrying case it comes with. He isn’t a huge fan of the actual printing process. You have to upload your document to the printer app and then print. It’s not as simple as clicking print and choosing a printer, but he says it’s worth the trade off for having something small, portable, and rechargeable.
